  3. I've been a licensed life insurance agent since I was 18 yr old. Now I'm just old The life insurance companies that are generally considered reputable and financially stable tend to recruit agents for 2 year training programs and support the new agent financially until the end of the training period. Might be a draw against commission or a base salary + commission, but supported financially none the less. There are other companies that behave more like an MLM. I'm not familiar with this particular company. However, most of what you've relayed has "WARNING" written all over it. Please proceed carefully. You are more likely to make money selling Cutco knives. All of us are faced with moral and ethical situations no matter what we do. Obviously it is an individual test of character how you respond to those situations. If this has piqued an interest in insurance then many options for a career are available....agent (life, property and casualty), underwriter, acturary, marketing, IT & etc. Good luck!
  4. Happy Birthday!!!
  5. Left my desk to get a drink of water, came back to find a package from todd green. Forgot I'd ordered the HF-2s. Odd, I'm not all that excited. Kind of anticlimatic.

  7. Al, I'm happy to hear your wife is okay. Some drivers just don't seem to understand that when it comes to people an auto is a lethal weapon. Like many of you I've had my close calls with cars while walking, jogging and road cycling. I've had crap thrown at me from car windows (including a hatchett) and I saw a semi truck/tralier on a country road intentionally swerve over to take the mirror off of the lead bike in front of me. Had my share of "friendly" discussions with motorists when I commuted by bike. Fortunately, most drivers share the road and give pedestrians and bicyclists the room they need to share the road. Too bad your wife found one of ass holes, but lucky she recognized there was a problem and was able to avoid a catastrophe.
  8. happy birthday
  9. I'm wondering what the "bad idea" is? I can't see how a light coating of oil hurts anything. At worst it's a waste of money and resources. I was taught it protects the bore and have been doing so for 35+ years with no ill effects.
  10. Ouch! The truth sucks 45+ year a Lions fan. Is there a worse franchise in the NFL?
  11. Great news indeed! Glad it turned out this well.

  15. Quest on point - two seasons ago ] Quest on point (not his pic but could be his twin) ] Odd - I really don't have pics of my dogs, past or current. Have very few of my family. Virtually none of myself. Worse, don't feel compelled to take more either.
  16. I laughed when I read that it's 4X quieter. Nice marketing. I can't say as I've heard anything on the P1 either.
  17. Traveling companion.
  18. Al, I just tuned in. Sorry to hear about your injury. Hoping it is only a sprain, or at worse a torn MCL. Today I ate a cookie and donated blood.
