Good news. My dog met my neighbors cat. The cat attacked my dog, lost and disappeared for most of a week. They seem to be pretty self sufficient on their own.
Grandson's 2nd birthday party today. He plastered birthday cake all over his face, hands, arms, hair, ears, and just about anything he can reach. That kid sure does have a sweet tooth.
Definitely agree with your assessment of a memory foam mattress. Had ours for 6 years and have never considered changing. Like anything new, there is an adjustment period.
Took the day off work, surprised my wife:). Road trip to port towns along the Lake Michigan shoreline from the Indiana border to Saugautck. Dining Al Fresco at a forgettable restaurant. Wine tasting some of the worst wine I've tasted. Side trip to purchase a fruit pie from the second best pie maker we know. No hidden treasures found in the art galleries but a great day with my wife.
Fine looking puppy! Congratulations:)
I'm no expert. On my fourth and final dog. Over the years each time I've brought a new puppy into the house I've let the dogs figure it out for themselves ... no matter what happened. I've found the older resident dog needs to assert itself as the alpha dog and to lay claim to his/her territory. The puppy is an intruder which the older dog recognizes as weak and no real threat. Fortunately puppies have short memories. Dogs are like people in that they all have different personalities meaning they may or may not get along.
My first old dog/puppy combo became buddies. The second pair ended up like an old married couple, inseparable and both looked out for each other. My final pair was a female that hated the younger male. I had no idea how badly the pup was brow beaten until we put the older one down. He's as sweet as ever but his personality has bloomed.
Good luck;)
Saw my youngest daughter's new apartment. Took her and my new son-in-law to a local Scottish Festival. Threatened rain all afternoon. Closed with pizza at Bilbo's where everything on the menu is named from the Hobbit. Good pizza!
