  1. The wrap protecting my knuckle migrated over the top of the surgical wound leaving it exposed. My only instructions were to keep it dry. Apparently I need to protect the integrity of the wrap on my finger as well. Went in to have it rewrapped. Third day in a row with temps at or exceeding 90 degrees. Not as bad as some of you have experienced but unusual here in West Michigan.
  2. ~Happy Birthday~ Welcome to the half century club!

  5. Broke out Master and Commander. Really enjoyed watching it again.

  7. I've had an infection on knuckle of my finger for over a year. Finally had it looked at yesterday, and the doc scheduled surgery to have the cyst removed today. Just arrived back home with no feeling in the finger. Now waiting for that to wear off - and see what the pain level is. Bonus - it's the knuckle on the middle finger of my right hand. Get to legitimately flip people off for the next two weeks .
  8. Congrats Doug. Working the plan is good stuff. Took 86 calls in 8 hours today. No insurance claims. BRUTAL Monday!
  9. Dinner with my daughter and grandchildren. Helped the grandsons play Wii MarioKart. Built a train track lay out with the grand children ... they absolutely love Thomas! Relaxed and still recovering from whatever virus has descended on me.

  11. Tyll, make sure to keep the rubber down and your head up! Home sick today. It's an effort to read. But there's always tomorrow.
  12. Great news Doug! Follow your passion and live the dream. Fresh out of school I made the mistake of listening to my father and chasing money. I was well on my way up the corporate ladder, and was successful if success is measured by money. But I was not happy nor pleased with my life. When I decided to stay home and care for my daughters I had plenty of time to re-evaluate what I wanted out of life and how to accomplish that. The 8 years I stayed home are the best years of my life. Now I have a career doing what I like. Wishing you success no matter the path you choose.
  13. My daughters and grandchildren came up to the trailer yesterday to celebrate fathers day. Good times. I've always considered it my privilege to be a dad. Wishing all of you a happy fathers day.

Love the pics Grahame. I like your vision and perspective.
  16. Classic. Drove to my trailer two weeks ago and realized I left the keys at home. Made the return trip so I could spend my weekend there.
  17. Looking good Nate! Lily and friends should have a wonderful time with their new play house.
  18. I helped my son-in-laws put up one of these sheds.
  19. That's wonderful Stretch. Glad you're a yank now
  20. Well Steve, you asked for it. I agree with Tyll ... Dr Wood is a killer title. Try "King of Queens" on and see if it fits.

Great pics! Thanks for taking the time to organize and post them. Everyone seems to be having a great time.
  22. No idea why it was important to either of you to post. No matter, if it is important to you then I'm glad that you did. Well written post Steve, and obviously well thought out. I hope your posts accomplished whatever you hoped for. I have always believed and operated under the premise that all people have value and worth. I'm naive enough to not understand why sexual orientation is important to anyone. It is simply a non issue. I hope we have an opportunity to meet ... and for that matter, hoping to meet all of you at some point. I've been caught up in my own turmoil and kind of missed this thread. It's heart warming to see that we are all brothers and sisters here in the HC community. Accepting each other for who and what we are. Good on us!
  23. Recently saw this again and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
  24. Hoping you're ok Morphi! Had my ultrasound biopsy yesterday. Damn uncomfortable. Now I get to wait for the results. At least I'm getting back to normal today. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
