  1. Caveat, based on Michigan: OK for personal use with most companies. Begin to run into trouble (translated commercial rates) when you plow more than just your own property.
  2. Thanks for your thoughts on the Zodiac+. That first listen with the Ed8 must have been a horrible experience I'm next up on the Neko loaner list. I'd like to hear in for myself in my system.I don't know if Wes will be continuing the loaner program but you might sign up on his web site and try the Neko in your system if available.
  3. Manox, interested in your comments on the Zodiac Plus. Precious little is known about it.
  4. Up at my trailer I blow the leaves into the woods. I don't pick up anything. At home, I blow them out away from the fence line and the landscaping, then mulch. My son-in-law has a good acre and a half of woods around the home. It would unthinkable to rake that many leaves. Makes much more sense to blow into a tarp, or up the loading ramp on a trailer, and haul them away. If you don't have a yard, or don't have a yard you care about, or it is the size of a postage stamp then the leaf blower doesn't make sense. Just saw Rek's post, makes more sense
  5. I can feel the swish of the shovel now;)
  6. Looks like he needs a visit to Jacob's basement.

  8. You obviously didn't see Avenue Q.
  9. Cancer sucks. If you're so inclined today is unofficially a day set aside to pray for a cure for cancer. Sorry your loss.

  16. Two full time endeavors. No surprise something had to go. Sorry you had to make a choice, and hoping you made the decision that's best for you!
  17. Just said goodbye to the grandkids. Watched them while their parents played in their final league tournament for disc golf. Didn't play well enough to win, but managed to stay dry in between rain showers. Getting ready to watch the MSU/ND game @ 8:00 pm EST.
  18. Looks great Eric. Looking forward to hearing your impressions as time passes. I've kind of decided to move on from the DAC3 and have just begun to get a feel for what's out there. Enjoy
  19. Congrats CJ. There are always let downs after the euphoria of completing a major accomplishment.
  20. Agreed on both counts. I look at the nature of the complaint and resolution, if any. The reported issue is continuous failure of the pilot light on at least one AO Smith model with no permanent resolution. I haven't done due diligence with my research yet, but that is worth looking into further. I'm sure I'll find plenty of complaints about Rheem, GE & others as well.
  21. Hope it all works out for you!
  22. Ditto. Cars and buildings can be repaired or replaced. Not so people. Glad family and HCers are doing ok.

  24. Like many here I need to replace my hot water heater soon. I try to be as green as makes sense, but as noted by TKam going tankless doesn't make alot of sense in my case. Two empty nesters in a 1200 sq ft ranch with a high efficiency gas furnace. I spend less than $800/yr for natural gas, most of which is heat in the cold Michigan winters. Subtracting that out leaves about $200-250/yr for the water heater and the gas dryer. Not much money to play with and certainly won't realize any meaningful savings by going tankless. I keep seeing AO Smith water heaters go highly recommended, then read owner reviews and wonder why. Apparently alot of problems with the pilot and less than responsive customer service from the manufacturer. I'll be sticking with a tank, just haven't decide which one to buy.

Looks like I should make it. Should be a good time.
