Actually, Steve is right. Whether the plea is emotional is not the point. Civil terrorism, aggression and assaults are on the rise. The issues do need to be addressed and to ignore the problem like an Ostrich with its head stuck in the sand and is a crime by ommission. A well thought out solution would be great, but solutions are driven by politics. Can't recall the last time that system delivered a well thought out solution that wasn't tainted. And no, I don't have an answer. Maybe no one does, but at least we should work towards one.

Had the mini for about 10 days. I can see how many would like the ipad better, but for me the size is perfect. Easy to carry and much easier to handle than the ipad. Great for surfing the web, email and books. Did I mention how small it is?

Just returned from an overnight trip with my bride. Had dinner with my daughter and son-in-law at Mitchell's Fish Market. Then off to see TSO. Drove to Birch Run this morning and endured a half day of Outlet mall shopping. Filled the afternoon with a visit to Frankenmuth and had a great time walking the streets and investigating the quaint shops. Managed escape the day only purchasing lunch. On the drive home saw literally more than two hundred deer in the hour before sunset. Pulled into a gas station and a farmer was putting gas in his combine on the other side of the pump. I have never had that happen before! All in all a good 30 hours.

Last time I went to a concert was Rush more than a decade ago. My daughters gave me tickets to TSO as an early Chritmas gift. Fun concert and The Breslin Center is great venue.

Expected voter turnout in Ottawa County, MI is 70%. I reside in arguably the most Republican county in the nation, and may be the only registered Democrat . Everyone who resides here belongs to the religious right ... hard right ... and is praying for the "right" outcome.

Took 30 minutes to vote. An especially long ballot and it appeared more voters than normal, so not too bad.
