Thank you all. Quest has gotten steadily better over the past 24 hours and is back to normal. When I see the vet I hope it is something as simple as medication and not a brain tumor like my Patch who had similar symptoms. Losing Quest will be very hard on me. He and I had an instant bond the minute I picked him up. I've never had that with any animal and that bond has only grown stronger. I'll enjoy the time I have with him, whether for a few hours, days, months or years.

Long night. He continued to have the occasional seizure. However, he gets up this morning bright eyed with full use of his body. Somewhat unstable in the rear but otherwise seems normal .... except he wants to eat and he never wants to eat. Quest is 13 years old and no doubt this is the beginning of the end. Just grateful I get more time with my buddy.

Woke up to an awful smell. Came out to the living room to investigate and found Quest collapsed between two chairs. A trail of feces from one end to the other. Called him and he half crawled to me. He lost the use of his rear. Must have been a seizure. Have him settled in a portable kennel but he doesn't react like he knows where he is or who I am. The mess is cleaned up until the carpeting can be cleaned. Most of the smell has been eliminated. Now the wait until morning to see whether he recovers. A toast to Quest's recovery.

No harm in trying but homeowner policies do not typically cover water that enters the home from outside, flood or otherwise. Many have added coverage for water/sewage that backs up through the drain or due to sump pump failure and there may be coverage that way.

Sucks Larry. I've had a lot of clients with similar woes this year ... sans headphone gear. Flooding in April and 5 inches of rain in 3 hours last week. No injuries or loss of life. Stuff can be replaced and buildings repaired. Good luck with the clean up.

Started the morning with no power. Received 4.9 inches of rain between 5:00 a.m - 8:00 a.m. at home and 5.63 inches at the office. Many new streams and small lakes across local road ways on the way into work this morning. Crazy detours to get to the office. Between the April flooding and this storm, it has been a very wet year.

Just returned from taking my 6 yr old grand son to a county fair. Animals, rides, corndogs, rides ... well, you get the idea. Great fun.

Words of wisdom there. I'm fine today. Normally I eschew novocaine but I knew this one was going to be bad. Don't like the "fat" lip, "stone" face and "frozen" brain that results. Glad I had it yesterday, and they had to reapply twice.

Inflamed gum, migrating molar and cavity under a crown. Had the old crown removed this a.m and tooth prepped for the new one. I think my brain finally thawed about an hour ago. Amazing how Famous Grouse eases the discomfort and makes it so I no longer hurt like hell when I smile

That ain't no long boat matey.
