  1. Nathan Wiley - Any of his albums but my favorite is still his first "Bottom Dollar" Wintersleep - 'Welcome To The Night Sky" Cloud Cult - "The Meaning of 8" Dadawa - "Sister Drum" Eric Bibb - "Just Like Love" Hayden - "In Field & Town" Tiger Lou - "The Loyal" or "Is My Head Still On" Xavier Rudd - "Dark Shades of Blue" On the heavier side I'd recommend Isis - "Panopticon" Red Sparowes - "The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies The Answer" - Excellent instrumental Russian Circles - "Geneva" - Again, excellent instrumental Shrinebuilder - "Shrinebuilder"
  2. Eric Bibb - Just like Love
  3. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day.
  4. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
  5. Wow, I didn't know Tara was very well known outside of Canada. Her music is not really to my taste but I did see her play with Shaye a few years back and they put on a pretty good show, it was kind of a homecoming for Tara so it was a very relaxed and intimate show. Another artist from PEI that people might like is Nathan Wiley, I've been a big fan of his since his first CD "Bottom Dollar". Another Canadian artist that might be of interest is Corb Lund.
  6. I think they're still playing a bit of catch up with the 16's, the delays getting the drivers due to the volcano really did a number on things for them. For me it was a bit longer than two weeks from the time they received my impressions to the time they were sent but CanJam was in there as well and I think two weeks is realistic.
  7. I was going to go with one blue and one red but decided to go with the blue and red lettering on black instead, kinda boring but I wasn't really sure what other color I'd like for the long term.
  8. A little present showed up for me today! To be honest I expected that them to not fit but so far they seem to be good. It's a bit odd that I never heard any reply whatsoever to my two emails and phone call but in the long run I think this is the best route for me to go right now, I may look at doing a 3A/16Pro system down the road then I'll have the best of both worlds. Ryan, JH received my earmolds on 05/26/2010, they went into the lab on 06/10/2010 and shipped on 06/11/2010
  9. Congrats! It took me just about as long, I pined away for almost a year following this thread. Did you go for a 3A as well?
  10. Yeah, it's a bit hard from work, I shot off a quick email when I got the notice and called when I got home. I didn't get a reply to the email as yet and just got the answering machine when I called. As I said I was on the fence with the decision so if it's out of my hands I can live with it. My main concerns are losing a level of portability, having to sell my Pico to fund it which I'll admit I'm hesitant to do as I love that thing and then there's the wait time. If it doesn't work out now I may look at saving my pennies and purchasing a system down the road with the bonus that it would likely be a more mature product by then (and by the time I pay off the 13's and save up again it could be a very mature system ).
  11. I just received my "In The Lab" email which is both exciting and disappointing at the same time as I had emailed them on Monday with some questions in regards to the 3A and also an inquiry in regards to the possibility and costs of adding it to my 13Pro order. Although I was leaning towards adding it I was still on the fence so I'll have to look at this as fate stepping.

    Canjam 2010.

I just realized that I nowadays I find myself more interested in seeing pics of all gatherings and people whose names I see on here than those of the gear. Someday I'd love to make it to one of these bigger meets to meet some of you in person but after seeing pics and reading the stories I don't think I'd ever be able to keep up.

  14. A third nod to dbpoweramp, I'm not sure if anything is quite as good for converting a large number of files. I think using the converter in foobar would be another possibility, I know I've used it for various files but don't remember what exact formats I've done with it.

    Canjam 2010.

So are you going with a retrofit or a whole new system?

    Uh Oh!
  17. Asteroid - II
  18. Isis - Panopticon I'm fairly new to Isis but I think this is my favorite. I was a bit disappointed to read on their site that they are breaking up after this tour. It was even more disappointing to see that they're playing their last concert in Montreal but can't afford a trip like that right now.
  19. That's kind of what I figured since Brittany is listed as an owner. edit: And I just have to commend JH Audio for the amazing customer service they have provided thus far. Brittany was great to deal with when getting the demo set up and since then has responded promptly to any email I've sent. Not that I've sent a lot, I think three since I sent the demo's back, the first being my question regarding the sale which I got a response to within a half hour. The evening after I got my impressions I had a couple of questions about them, I debated posting the questions here but then thought no I'll go straight to the source so I emailed Brittany with them. Considering I sent the emails well outside of any normal working hours the earliest I expected a response was the next day but it was only a few minutes after I sent the email that I got a response. I don't expect that will happen all the time but it certainly adds a level of confidence that questions and issues will be dealt with in a timely manner.
  20. That was a good read, a lot of things I didn't know about Jerry and Ultimate Ears in there. Something I've been curious about, anyone know what Brittany and Jaime's relation to Jerry are?
  21. Happy Birthday!
