  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Beck - Sea Change
  3. Wintersleep - Untitled
  4. ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - Worlds Apart
  5. I believe it should be the same as a UE replacement cable. And congrats!
  6. Amorphis - Skyforger
  7. I agree, it's a wonderful album. It was the first Iron & Wine album I got after hearing his version of Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" off the Garden State soundtrack, I was instantly hooked.
  8. Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days
  9. Doh! Wrong thread.
  10. Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
  11. The Tiger Lillies - Punch And Judy
  12. If you're getting strange urges to wear a Kilt I've got one in my closet from my wedding you can borrow.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. MilanKu - Convalescence Just discovered this, I think it's quite good, out of the Isis mold but a bit more ambient.
  15. Touched By The Crimson King is their actually their second, the first is self titled, I personally thought their first was a stronger album. They don't have quite the Celtic thing Wuthering Heights does in that Youtube link though, I find Demons and Wizards is bit more along the lines of the epic fantasy type metal. If this helps, the singer is from Blind Guardian and the guitarist is from Iced Earth. They're not a band I listen to much but every now and then I get an itch for it.
  16. Happy Birthday Mike! Hope you have a great day.
  17. Listening to a song on their Myspace page, it kind of reminds of what Demons and Wizards might sound like with Dio singing instead of Hansi K
  18. I think if you're not used to an IEM that inserts that deeply it's going to take some time to adjust regardless of how good the fit is. At first my left ear had a very full feeling, no discomfort or anything but I was very aware of it being in my ear. I noticed just before I sent them in that they were starting to disappear much more so than when I first got them.
  19. Cloud Cult - The Meaning of 8
  20. The Pineapple Thief - Someone Here Is Missing
  21. In The Reins is one of my favorite albums but then I'm a really big Iron & Wine fan so that's not surprising, based off that album I tried some Calexico awhile back but didn't get into it for some reason, I'll have to give your suggestions a try and see if that changes.
  22. You've got a couple on there I'll have to check out myself. If you like Dream Theater you might also try Riverside, Fates Warning and maybe Coheed & Cambria and Carpark North. On the instrumental side you could try Sleep - "Jerusalem", Zebulon Pike and Mogwai. The two other bands outside of some you've listed that I've really been taken with lately are Shrinebuilder and Isis (I can't believe I only gave them a try recently, their last show before disbanding is in Montreal tomorrow night ) with an honorable mention to Gomer Pyle's - "Idiot Savant" which has been getting quite a bit of ear time. Discovering new stuff is so much fun, I've been soaking up all kinds of new music lately, mostly on the heavier side this round but I listen to a fairly wide variety of music so I'll try just about anything.
  23. Just tried this, the left side seems fine, the right side does loosen up a bit though. I've tried a few other things that have made it more apparent that the right side is isolating less. I also got a further reply from Adam, he feels the right ear needs some adjustment so I'm going to send them off at the first of the week. I figured fit issues/isolation problems would have been fairly cut and dry, this has just been odd because it seems like I can get a decent seal by times and other times it's really close but just off a bit. And Guillaume, if I didn't send them in it would probably end up driving me nuts.
  24. I have some questions for those with customs experience regarding fit. I think my 13 Pro's are pretty close but I have a few concerns and I'm not sure what exactly is "right" in regards to fit. Here's some notes/concerns regarding fit. Any input would be appreciated. - inserting them using the method described in the manual both seem to just slide into place, I seemingly get a good seal which is not affected by eating, yawning or other jaw movement but neither produces a vacuum type seal. I'm not sure if that's good, bad or doesn't really matter? - The left side has a more "full" feeling while the right feels a bit odd, I'm not sure how to describe it, I've had a similar sensation with other universal IEM's that insert deeper in the canal. It feels almost like it's a bit loose initially but then they seem to almost disappear. - Isolation seems a bit less than I expected which is part of the reason I'm wondering about fit. Bass seems good but possibly a bit less grunt in the bottom than I remember the demo's having. I don't know how relevant this is to JHA's but I tried the Sensaphonics seal test, both tones seem fairly close but the 50 Hz tone does seem a touch down in level. I tried this test with my Comply tipped Triple.Fi's and the tones seemed a bit closer matched in level. Also, it might be an illusion because of the more full ear sensation but isolation seems a bit better on the left side. - On some extreme left/right placed instruments it feels far more in-ear rather than placed outside of my head. I don't remember this type of thing with the demo's and it seems to be far more prevalent on the left than the right side. I'm not quite sure what to make of this as, at least in part, it seems to be due to a wider, less compressed stage than I'm used to with the Triple.Fi's. That and it seems to show up more so on left heavy balanced recordings. On the flip side of that the right side seems to render extreme right recorded material more out of head than the left. - At times the left side squelch's and/or pop's a bit when I move my jaw. This hasn't caused an actual loss of seal but the popping seems to be occurring at the very tip, like the very end is losing a seal but I'm not losing an overall seal if that makes sense. This popping in particular is a bit disconcerting. The more I think about it, the more I think some slight adjustment is necessary I'm just not sure which side actually is giving a proper fit or if I might need some adjustment to both? I've sent off similar info to Adam at JH but I thought it wouldn't hurt getting some feedback from those who have experience as well.
  25. I just thought of another somewhat local band that you might not have heard of, The Trews.
