  1. Me 2. That and Pandora. When I discover a new artist that I like I will create a station and use it to discover other new music and so on and on, never ends (which is a good thing). I will also sometimes use Live Plasma but you don't hear the music so it's not as good.
  2. Hed Kandi - Winter Chill 06.04 Very nice chill compilation. Part of a series of 5 or 6. Hed Kandi also has some great House and Disco compilations as well. I have discovered some great artists and music by exploring these.
  3. My pathetic cans: Furturesonics Atrios M5 Senn HD485 iGrado Grado SR60 Yuin PK2 Senn PMX60
  4. Love Supreme Beings of Leisure! Excellent stuff.
  5. I had Vista Ultimate running before. The other big savings was going from MS Office Enterprise To OpenOffice.org. Still doesn't account for all of the space savings. I must have had a lot of hidden crap build up over the years. Diskeeper is great. The auto defrag claims to not reduce performance (how is that possible?). I really have no point of reference as I was running DKP 2008 w/ Vista and W7 is so much better. Which island do you live on Riceboy? I lived on Kauai for about 7yrs in the 80's.
  6. I recently got one for me and my kids as well. If you guys like the Snowboarding in the Balance section you may want to check out Snowboard Riot in the WiiWare Downloads section of the Wii Console. It's pretty cool.
  7. Got up and finished installing Windows 7 on my 6-7yr old Dell Inspiron 8100 PIII 1.13GH w/ only 512 ram. Had a little trouble with the audio driver because I forgot that there is a certain order that the drivers must be installed but got it worked out. Actually runs pretty good. No Aero but I don't care. Installed OpenOffice.org, Diskeeper Pro Premium 2009, MP3Tag, Zune Software, uTorrent, Firefox and called it good. Before I only had about 3.5GB free on the little 20GB hard drive, now I have over 11GB free.
  8. I hope she someday releases the rest of the Space Oddity cover from that TV commercial.
  9. Pink Floyd - Obscured by Clouds
  10. We need warning stickers for warning stickers.
  11. Got my Taxes done today but I didn't actually file them yet. Had to be more creative than usual so I am going to wait for the last day to file them because I have heard you have less chance of being audited that way. Never been audited (knock on wood) and if my number comes up this year it could get ugly. TurboTax says my audit risk is low so we shall see.
  12. Azure Ray - Azure Ray Good Dream Pop.
  13. Bought a small table lamp yesterday and noticed the same thing. STICKERORAMA. I never knew lamps were so sinister.
  14. Last Exile OST's OST 1 OST 2 Enjoying them very much!
  15. Wii Fit w/ some accessories Kids love it.
  16. Dead Can Dance - Selections from North America 2005, 2CD Excellent performances. Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard sound better on these live versions than the corresponding studio cuts. One gripe: not a contiguous single performance but bits and pieces from several pasted together. All in all quite brilliant. If you like DCD this is essential.
  17. I agree with your take on Malazan. Not nearly on the same level with Ice & Fire for me as well. I will have to try the Bear book, I have enjoyed his short stories.
  18. Yes, quite sure. Didn't even know there was a scene like that in Annie Hall. My Mom told me about that only once: it was about 5 years ago when I asked her if the Glups story was true or if Mickey was just telling a scary story for the kids. My Mom is not one to embellish or exaggerate, btw. Nor am I for that matter.
  19. We lived in Marin County (Novato) in the 60's and my dad had a Volkswagon repair business so we knew every hippie around pretty much. The Dead's place was just a few mile up the road towards Petaluma. Mickey Hart bought an old Porsche and painted it flat black and I remember he got a vanity plate that said "Warp X" which I thought was wicked cool being a big Star Trek fan myself (I was maybe 9 years old). He brought it to my dad to fix it and they became friends for awhile and they would come hang out and we went to their place a few times. I didn't know who they were at the time but I remember Mickey gathering the kids around the campfire and telling us a spooky story involving his dog Glups. Glups was a scary mean dog and Mickey said that he picked up a hitch hiker once and the guy got in and went to pet Glups and Mickey warned him not to touch him but the dude said "all dogs love me" and went to give him a hug. At this point Mickey paused and for dramatic effect and then said "Glups bit his nose off!". We all gasped and he said "yeah it was just hanging there by a thread and I had to drive him to the hospital". I asked my Mom several years ago if that story was true but she didn't know. Glups was real enough. I remember driving to their place with my Dad in our VW van and when we got there my dad shut off the engine and looked around and asked me if I saw Glups anywhere. I said no and he got out but about 10 steps away from the car here come Glups running around a corner. I never saw my Dad move so fast as he ran and jumped back in. My Mom also told me once about being at a party at their place and their manager, somebody named deFrancisco or something like that put a plate of Coke under her nose and she laughed (my mom was a hippie at the time and smoked some pot but nothing harder) and it blew the coke off of the plate and he got a little pissed about it but everybody else just laughed. I really liked their song Truckin but was more into bands like the Beatles and Steppenwolf and was on the verge of discovering Led Zep so I was never a big fan myself.
  20. Fell off the wagon, eh?
  21. There is a lot of hoppy ass beer, true. Some folk like them, not me either but there are plenty of nice malty one's to choose from. You can't throw a frisbee without hitting a micro brewery around here. Every store, from the 7-11's to the Safeways have a good selection of Ambers and Stouts and Porters. Can't imagine a better state for the sheer variety of beer brewing. Now the wineries are everywhere in the Willamette Valley. Oregon is floating on alcohol.
  22. I've had the Young's and agree that it is fantastic. Never had the others, looks like a great find!
