I read that this deal was supposed to end the 4th of Dec - Jambox for $129.99 shipped Amazon Prime (I used the head-case link to get there). I don't think it was ever worth $199, but at $70 off it become more attractive. http://www.amazon.com/Jawbone-JAMBOX-Wireless-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B004E10KI8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354695621&sr=8-1&keywords=jambox+bluetooth+speaker

Thanks for the warning. I really like the Zagg protectors. I'm sure you suggested to Joy Factory that maybe they should try a different dye.

Sometimes my wife surprises me. We've been wanting an iMac upgrade for so long, that instead of the usual "buy the cheapest one and hope it's not obsolete in 3 years" she went for the high end 21.5" iMac with 16GB RAM and Fusion Drive. She wants to get 6 years out of it like the last one, and it will ship in 7-10 business days. She makes more money than me so I can't say boo about it, but I still have to pay for the dog's surgery next month. Oh well, after this I think we'll all be happier. I was really bummed that Apple dropped the 7200 rpm HD for a 5400, because I can definitely tell a difference with those. It's likely a move by Apple to push people into the faster more expensive Fusion drive. On top of that, Apple won't offer the Fusion drive on the less expensive iMac, only the high end 21.5" - to drive sales in that direction of course. And, you can't upgrade the RAM yourself without voiding the warranty, nor will Apple upgrade the RAM, so you have to order it with 16GB if you want it to be more "future proof". With the 2011 iMacs, you could buy the 4GB model and the Apple Store would upgrade it right there to 8GB for $200. Not any more. -

I hated when they changed the iPad iTunes to what it is now, and they want to turn the Mac version into the same crap. -
Well, I'm facing some large vet bills, so I'm out. But thanks for the info.

Apple TV issues

Yeah, that was my first suggestion - to try an Apple Router, a newer one, or a firmware update. -

I'm suspecting the router as the culprit so far, and I don't think this would happen with an Apple router. It shouldn't happen with any router, but you never know. Again, can you try to control the Apple TV playback through the Apple TV and remote, rather than controlling the playback through the MBA? Basically, what happens when you tell the ATV to fetch the music from the Home Sharing server on the MBA, rather than telling the MBA/iTunes to push the music to the ATV via Airplay? With an iDevice and Remote app you shouldn't need a monitor connected to the ATV, if you don't have one hooked up. -
I remember that PS Audio didn't recommend using both RCA and XLR at the same time with the DLIII, but it worked just fine for me. It works with the PWD Mk1 as well, so not sure why you're having issues with the NuWave and using both outputs at the same time. Also - I wonder if they'd take one of those old Creative 3D Crystalizer USB DACs in trade for the $300 off. When does that trade-in offer end?

PS: What happens if you use an iPhone or iPad to control the ATV, and you fetch the music from the MBA to stream to the ATV, instead of pushing it from the MBA iTunes into the ATV? -

Never heard of this issue, and I'm using an Airport Extreme with WPA2. Maybe try an Apple router, or a newer one? Is the router running the latest firmware? I'm assuming you are selecting the Apple TV through airplay on the MBA in iTunes, and that it's a newer little black ATV and not an older 1st Gen? When you do that, what do you mean by "it kills the wireless router"? Does the MBA lose internet, or does the ATV disappear? -
Everyone loved her in Parent Trap and Mean Girls, less so in Freaky Friday, but I can't think if the name of another movie she's been in since those (except for all the bad press about Liz and Dick). I think she had a lot of potential but the drugs and alcohol ruined it (or are genetics from her dad to blame?).

I really like my Kona - it's so much better than the Huffy my brother-in-law gave me last summer. And I got to pay it forward by giving the Huffy away to a needy teenager friend of my son.

I don't know, the LCD-2 rev2 is a perfect match for my Eddie Current ZDT and I can still use the ZDT with custom IEM and no noise (I'm using PWD Mk1 DAC). I do like the rev2 a bit more than my original Rev1.

MINI REVIEW JH16Pro Freq-phase: I have to say the JH16Pro Freq-phase are outstanding. < That's the short version for those who would post TL:DNR. My impressions are with my iPad 3 using lossless music and Pico Slim with TWag LOD, as well as with CCK and Pico DAC, and also right from the headphone jack. I wanted them in clear acrylic like my first JH13Pro, and think I mentioned that they could add an inconspicuous logo if they wanted to - so I got the Freq-phase logo in thin black lines which is hard to see. The right monitor is a little looser than the left, but it's almost impossible to break the seal with extreme facial contortions. The only time the right seal breaks is when I yawn, and when I'm done yawning it automagically seals again without touching them (sucking sound and all). My only issue is that sometimes it feels like the left side is very slightly louder than the right, unless I press the right monitor in about 1mm. At first I was worried that the volume was different due to the looser fit on the right, but then after trying a few more IEM I realize that over time I have developed slightly more hearing loss and tinnitus on the right than the left. Efficiency is good, and I usually have the iPad volume set between 30-50%, and never more than 60%. I once tried pushing the iPad past 70% volume and the sound gets bright and harsh, in addition to being too loud, although the bass doesn't falter. They still have less hiss than my ES3X with noisy desktop amps. Anyways, in comparison to my old JH13Pro these have better mid-bass impact and presence, and do a better job of connecting the deep bass hump to the mid and upper-bass, without bleeding into the midrange. And in no way is the bass overdone. With my JH13Pro I would sometimes feel like I had a subwoofer in the room that was crossed over too low, with a small gap in the mid or upper bass as the sound transitioned into the midrange. They have a big deep thump but not as much punch higher up. It was like a slight disconnect was there - the string bass thump often came from everywhere but not always in relation to the more directional sound of the string pluck, fret slap, and scratch of the fingers on strings. Not so with the JH16Pro FP. The JH16Pro FP's midrange is more present and lively, while the JH13Pro's mids are sweet but sometimes a little distant. One reason I was preferring my ES5 over the JH13Pro was their improved mid-bass impact and their warmer, richer, and fuller mids. The ES5 mids felt more vivid but not as forward as the ES3X, and are warmer sounding to boot. The JH16Pro FP give me all that and more. They seem a little more transparent and not quite as forward as even the ES5, although improved over the JH13Pro. Goldilocks would say this is just right. And the very small or mild upper mids peak in the ES5 is not present with the JH16Pro FP, making them more transparent. The highs are smooth and refined, but with exceptional detail and sparkle, yet not rounded at the edges of the attacks. Still probably a little smoother than my ES5 which can sometimes be a little irritating or brutal with bad recordings, although an improvement over the ES3X in that regard. The imaging and soundstage is good for an IEM, and I really can't ever pinpoint the sound as coming from tiny little speakers in my ear canal. Everything sounds coherent as if it's coming from sources both inside and slightly outside of my head. With IEM I never get as much outside of the head imaging as I do with the HD800, SR-009 and HE-60, but most of my custom IEM are superior in this respect to my universal IEM. It's too early to say how this compares to my ES5 and JH13Pro, or the others. The ES5 and JH16Pro FP are not terribly far apart in performance and enjoyment (at least with my sets), but so far I give the nod to the JH16Pro for their accuracy, transparency and balance. I enjoy both IEM a great bit, and I still prefer the older JH13Pro over the ES3X and UE11Pro (as I did in my 2009 three flagship customs review). Being the overly cautious type, I suspect that I'll keep the JH16Pro and ES5 at home where they'll be safe, and just carry around one of my pairs of JH13Pro when I'm portable, as I often do now. This way if a monitor falls off the cable and is lost then I still have a spare. The ES3X and UE11Pro are nice, but they really don't see much use anymore, nor do my Livewires or custom SE-530.

Just waiting for someone to post, "I'll be your sugar daddy"... -
The basic difference would be a mostly almost inaudible volume level when pushing the cmoy into a Stax transformer to drive the SR-009. But I think you should try it.

Do you have some analog cables with the channels flipped?

Thanks (sits here cleaning tea off macbook keyboard...)

And I did put these in my shopping cart and used the code to confirm it really did drop the price by $350. I didn't buy them though. I loved them on my Woo GES, but I'm not sure they're better than my LNS and SR-Lambda.
