I've got about 10 cases for 6+, but my favorite seems to be the tech21 classic check in smoke color (at best buy). Edit - i'd like to add that it's almost as thin as the Apple case but provides 360° of protection unlike the Apple case that doesn't cover the bottom. It's not as slippery as the Apple case and so it's easier to balance the phone on your pinky finger without dropping it. And it's a bit less than the price of the Apple case.

I'm not sure why it's doing that, but there is a workaround until we can figure it out. Go into applications, and find the Audirvana 2 app, and drag it into the dock. Then, instead of right clicking a file to open it in Audirvana (which isn't showing up) you can drag the file(s) onto the Audirvana Icon in the dock. EDIT - also, try rebooting into recovery mode (CMD-R) and run disk utility, then try repairing the hard drive and then repairing permissions. -

That's really cool - thanks for pointing that out. I look forward to getting mine.

That misfit flash does look interesting, at a great price. I've been using a Withings Pulse O2 since the end of April as my monitor, and Misfit seems to have many of the same functions minus the clock and pulsimeter/oximeter. But Misfit is a much better price, and has water resistance that the Pulse O2 doesn't have. The other advantage of the Pulse O2 is that you can access your statistics via the touch screen, without having to look at your phone app, but you have to charge it once a week in return. I still went ahead and ordered a Misfit since the water resistance can become important (I killed my first Pulse O2 when I was caught out in the rain).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had 18 of us today at our house for Thanksgiving. We ate almost an entire 22 pound turkey and 3 pounds of salmon, with about 2lbs of each left over for tomorrow. Yum! I'm a little buzzed because we opened too much wine and lost the corks, so I had to finish a bottle. We all had a great time, and watched the Philadelphia/Dallas game, then the SF/Seattle game. I gave a brother-in-law and two of my nephews some of my watches today, all new ones that I bought in the past year and never wore (this time a Citizen Eco-drive, a Luminox and a Bertucci). Lori says I can't buy another watch until she gets new carpet in the bedroom, and I agreed (after countering that if I gave away 8 watches in the past 6 months I should be allowed to buy at least one - met with blank stare). I'm drunk posting so I better stop now. Just had a happy day is all...

Yes they can, but I just don't want to pay for that when I hardly ever listen to vinyl, and my MM preamp is so cheap it can't work with the nicer newer MC cartridge. I was going to downgrade my new MC cart back to my older MM cart so I could save money by not buying a new preamp. Now my choices are to (1) pay to re-cable the tonearm and use my MM cart, or (2) pay for a preamp to work with the MC cart that's already installed, or (3) sell the TT with the currently installed MC cart. I'm leaning towards #3 now, which is a shame because while I had the RSA Nighthawk preamp on loan I thought the NAD + Benz Micro Red L cart + Nighthawk sounded almost as good as the 24/96 PWD Mk1 DAC with the same song playing on both rigs.

Thanks! I feel the same way - my 40mm GMT Master II and Submariner look just right, but the 40mm Explorer with stainless bezel and white dial just looked smaller to me, so the upsize to a 42mm feels just right. On my teenage son the 40mm Polar Explorer II looked perfect to me, but he still preferred the GMT Master II and Submariner as well. He told me that he thought his 36mm black Seamaster Pro mid-size looks about the same size as my old Exp II, because the silver bezel made it look smaller than his black bezel. This coming from a kid who's everyday wear watch is a 44mm Luminox. And I agree with him, that the color and materials of the watch affect how large or how small a watch looks. I don't need the other Rolexes to be bigger, especially since I grew up wearing 36mm watches in the 60's and 70's. And some 36mm watches still look right to me, while most look like my wife should wear it. But the trend towards too big is also silly. For instance, I thought the Omega Planet Ocean in 45mm looked silly big and I got a 42mm, but with an orange bezel the 45mm looked smaller and wasn't as ridiculous. Below is my everyday wear watch, although I just put the original bracelet back on (and cat scratch has healed)...

I got rid of my 20 year old Polar White 40mm Rolex Explorer II in order to get a new 42mm Polar Explorer II. While my GMT Master II and Submariner look great to me in 40mm, I always felt the stainless bezel made my Exp II look slightly small. Like my 42mm Planet Ocean, the new Exp II feels just right. I was tempted to sell off the '83 Submariner Instead, but it's a classic with sapphire and 3035 mvmt, and to many people it looks better than the new ones. I also wanted one with working Lume like my GMT Master II, which has superluminova instead of dead tritium. To re-lume the original dial and hands would have reduced the resale value of the watch, and I've spent several months looking for a dial or at least new hands, without having to give up the originals. After two different quotes it was going to cost almost half what the watch was worth for a new service dial and hands, because they require a complete movement service at Rolex at the same time, even if it was serviced last year by an independent. (EDIT to remove the partial serial number in the photo - it was recommended to not show it)

Well, now I'm feeling a lot better about not plugging the power adapter into my Synergistic Research coax digital cable. I was skeptical that it could help if I couldn't hear the difference. I picked up the cable for a song from Mikhail, like under $100.

How about one of those washable reusable sticky rollers that you run over an album (LP) to get the dust out of the grooves?

It could be an OS issue that a clean install might fix. However, an SMC and PRAM reset might help the fan issue, and screen glitches. Or not. Also, the slower responses could be spotlight indexing for the first time (and if you got a fusion drive it needs time to learn your usage habits to speed things up). Apple Genius is your friend, and bring everything with you just in case you decide to return it on the spot if they can't help. -
So, basically you're gettin' twice the base, cause of the TK421 modification you got in this system here?

Does anyone have a cheap phono preamp for Moving Coil cartridge they'd sell me? I was going to have my Benz Micro Red L Moving Coil Cart swapped back to the Ortofon Blue M2 that same with my NAD555, so I could use my MM preamp, but the Soundshop says that the connectors on the wires are too fragile to do another cartridge swap. I've seen several good deals come up to people that spoke up, and since I've been silent I missed out on them. So, if anyone takes pity on me, PM me please.
