  1. $455 to replace my car's bad transmission cooler lines and flush out my car's burnt transmission fluid. ( This might kill the Pass Pearl for me unless I sell another amp or two.
  2. There are worse headphones than those...
  3. From the iphone blog:
  4. Sounds good - I posted my RS-1 for sale on H-F to raise the funds for the Pearl, and will post them here with a H-C price tonight. I could use some cleaning solution sans meth for sure.
  5. The 5th Element on Blu-Ray.
  6. Sorry, I must have misread it or I'm going nuts - either could be a possibility.
  7. Tyler, with the NAD C555 TT and Ortofon Blue 2M cart that I got from you, I assume that you believe it would scale up with the Pearl? Or would the TT/cart still be a weak link in the chain? I believe I would go for the Pearl if I find an easy buyer for my Grado RS-1 with 6-foot APS V3 cable (super nylon sleeve, 1/8" plug with solid 1/4" adapter). Another option that I was considering is the CI Audio VPP-1, and then the VAC-1 PSU later as an upgrade. I might be able to do the first part of the 2 pieces without selling the RS-1, but I'm not really using the RS-1 now, so...
  8. Here is another balanced portable coming soon, apparently. I will be reviewing the AMP1 soon, but I don't have any details on the "Portable1" other than what I found on their website. RW Audio.com
  9. Sounds interesting - I might be up for it if the timing and price is right.
  10. Thanks, I'll research the CIAudio VPP•1 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier. I think Grawk also recommended the Haggerman Bugle. Any others in that price range that I should look into while I'm at it?
  11. What do you guys think of the Bellari VP130 phono preamp with the 12AX7 tube in it? I wasn't satisfied with the NAD PP2 preamp and returned it before my 30 day return period was up, but I still have a tight budget after buying the WES. I'm using an NADC555 TT (like Rega P2) with Ortofon Blue 2M cart. Thanks!
  12. Christopher Paolini "Eldest"
  13. I got mine from you sometime last week and put it under the tree, enjoying the anticipation. Thanks! I'll report on it after Xmas, and hope you like your's too.
  14. We haven't had a big snow melt here in Colorado Springs yet. It snowed Sunday - Tuesday here, with a 2 hour school delay Monday and no school yesterday, and back to a 2 hour delay again today. I'm so glad I caved in and bought my 16 year old's Subaru some snow tires Monday, and the training I gave her during the previous two snowstorms on all season tires is paying off - she's doing well on the snow now.
  15. www.thecablepro.com has a new Earcandy 90 degree LOD for about $59 that works with iPhone (but I don't think it uses a resistor to disable the "not made for" message). I have one on the way and report on it soon. I met Ted The owner at RMAF, and my son and I dined with him, and he's a nice guy. I also like my CablePro Panorama 1/8" extension cable Ted made. I was also planning on getting one from Justin if he decides to make them later.
  16. This one is for Smeggy UK man builds life-sized Dalek, furthers intergalactic evil -- Engadget
  17. Wow, the whole city is buried in snow, schools are closed, and the Triple.fi 10 Pro are out for delivery anyways - December 8, 2009 03:30:00 AM Colorado Springs CO US Out for delivery
  18. Do you need any KGBH boards to round it out? (lemme know, no PSU board though)
  19. 4 snow tires for my daughter's car - BFG Traction TA are great in dry and wet, not so good on snow, and suck on ice. Returning the NAD PP2 will pay for one of the tires mounted, since it's not much of an upgrade over my GEMSound PL-USB phono pre and A/D converter. I'll look to upgrade next year.
  20. 4GB is enough for a Macbook - My 4GB Macbook Pro can run a Mail, Safari, iPhoto, iTunes and Parallels with Win XP in it's own window at the same time just fine. My Wife's 3GB iMac and the kid's 2GB Macbooks struggle more doing that and they resort to using more virtual memory, but even those do fine when not running a virtual machine at the same time as multiple applications. (all the machines here are Core 2 Duo at 2 Ghz or faster)
  21. Well, there ya' go! It's always nice to have corroboration. Thanks!
  22. That sucks. I hate thieves.
  23. I thought that the faster you go the harder it was for the wind to push you over, because of the gyroscopic action of the wheels? I guess with light weight wheels that doesn't help as much? SSS (sorry so stupid).
  24. Hi, I sent you a reply to your PM - I should be able to ship you one pair on Tuesday or Wednesday via Express Mail International, as UPS tracking puts them as arriving here on Tuesday. So, all you need is someone to sell you one more pair at their cost like me, since I wasn't looking to profit off them. Cheers!
  25. Wont ever know, I traded them + cash for a used Moon Audio Cardas cabled ATH-AD2000 which were better. Not sure what I sold those for...
