I enjoyed reading this a while back. http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/three-on-three-manual-dress-watch In this review, I was led to want the VC the most of the three watches (FPJ, VC and A Lange).

Look at the bright side, we didn't know your penis was long enough to fit 50 staples. Get well soon!

Nate, I love Jesus Fried Chicken, but all I can find around here is KFC. I love the bracelet, so it goes back on that if the RubberB doesn't look right to me, or if it doesn't fit me well. The fat lugs on the GMT IIc don't look right to me on the leather strap. I just wanted to know if other people agreed, or if they liked the pairing.

Thanks, I had already ordered a RubberB black rubber with blue stripe last week, and then had second thoughts that I should have ordered all blue or all black. I do have the Everest rubber bookmarked, just in case, but the RubberB arrives this week. I hadn't planned to put it on leather at all, but I had the leather strap laying around that I was going to use on my blue Titanium Planet Ocean, until I decided that the Shark Mesh was the perfect match and I wasn't changing it again. I may put the BLNR back on bracelet and once it's all scratched up then brush the entire thing. But, the comfort on the blue leather strap is very good - the watch disappears and I don't feel it at all. I never have that happen on a bracelet, but with the leather it's comfortable enough to sleep with.

Do you mean bubble wrap?

The EF6 and EF100 are better suited to the HE-1000 than my ZDT which is still too soft sounding with HE-6 and HE-1000.

So, better on the bracelet (so I can scratch up the polished center links) or on a Hirsch heavy calf leather in blue with white stitching that I can beat up daily?

I wonder too, since he's got to get them past customs with a dated warranty card and no buyer name (he fills out your name on the card). If I ever want warranty service I guess that I have to tell Rolex that I was in Singapore to buy the watch this March, since my name is on the card from there?

Only the watch?

Incoming! I gave up an Omega Skyfall Blue Aqua Terra, an Omega Seamaster Pro "Great White" GMT, and a Seamaster Pro mid-size diver for this one new Rolex. It's new with both boxes, all the stickers and hang tags, a bezel protector, and my name on the warranty card even though it's from an AD in Singapore and dated 3/6/15. DavidSW at RolexForums was great to work with!

BTW, I also ordered this one last week, but it's not here yet - it came highly recommended. https://www.watchgecko.com/bonetto-cinturini-300-d-watch-strap.php I got it on sale for 20% off, but £24 still isn't bad at all.

I didn't even know Beau was sick. My 54 year old brother has stage 4 lung cancer, so I'm familiar with the suckage factor with that disease.

This might work on yours - strap is Omega reference #98000085 w corresponding tang buckle #94512012 - fits current SMP CERAMIC and the old 2254.50 My local Jared jewelers ordered this for me last week and it's about $240 for strap and buckle. See my post from last week with photo of the Hirsch rubber 20mm strap on my Seamaster Pro, which retails for $99 and I got local for $65. I got his last one though. I posted a link for Jacob here.

I preferred my CEntrance HiFi-M8 when tested side by side, but it didn't suck at all with the Roxanne. Didn't try with anything else though.

Get well soon Marc!

I'm fairly sure that the Chord Hugo the small portable DAC/amp that Jerry Harvey at JH Audio loves as his go to amp for his personal custom IEM.

Sold a couple of Omegas to make room for something big coming next week...

I firmly believe that the HE-5LE all the way thru HE-1000 are several steps above the HE-5. After 6 years the HE-5 doesn't represent the "house sound" anymore, although the HE-560 slipped slightly backwards in the slightly aggressive nature but without the fatigue of the HE-5. And I always found that the HE-6 are smoother than the HD800 (on ZDT and EF-6 amps alike). I haven't had much time yet to listen to the HE-1000, but so far I'm very impressed. It wouldn't surprise me if these are indeed better than the 009 that I sold (as per Edwood). They are very inefficient and need a lot of power, so the iPhone 6+ can make pretty sounds come out, but not loud enough to tune out anything going on around you.
