I know, Steve. The sad part is that after all these years, the motivation to celebrate and being proud isn't that much. I think that we should have a protest to claim for so many things that aren't right, that sexual/genre preference/orientation/practice isn't even an achievement to be proud of. Gay men and women still die. Minorities die. Poor people die... My point is that it shouldn't be celebrated as a parade but as a serious protest.

IMHO humans have very few things to be proud of. Our sexual intercourse preferences, our genre at birth, our skin tone, height, and facial features, our religion, our political opinions, our cultural roots and language, and even our material achievements and possessions shouldn't be among them. I believe and support that all humans should be considered equals, and respected, and should have the same opportunities and be considered the same in front of the law. We come from times that all that wasn't granted, and we live in times that all of it is not granted yet. As such it's wonderful that a part of the population that suffered prosecution and incarceration for their preference and inclination (yes, in my so free and tolerant country too, never forget Franco his 40 years of dictatorship and these other 40 years that seem democracy but still have the same people's sons and grandsons handling the reins) can openly show them. No one should judge if such preference was given at birth or elected, but I support that they can claim their rights, respect and to be considered equals. On the other hand I feel ashamed and deeply sad that we still need a parade and some sort of party celebration to demonstrate that most people are morons, that can't accept that we're not all the same and that diversity is part of our richness as species. It's not the same thing to be equals and to be the same.

In spite his persona lost part of my consideration, I still like his musicianship Aging is tough, but it's a nice set of tunes. I didn't know the song titling the album is giving its proceedings to the starving children in Gaza. https://album.link/i/1737901577. It's available on Qobuz too.

Wife and I attended the last concert of the season yesterday at the Auditorio. James Ehnes was the soloist performing with the Dallas Symphony the Mendelssohn violin concerto. He plays a Stradivarius, the "Marsick", which sounds absolutely amazing. Performance was short of stunning. He offered two additional pieces in response to the long standing ovation. One of them was one of the Ysaÿe violin sonatas in that album, a work that we didn't know and that requires the virtuoso skills of Sarasate, Paganini and the own Ysaÿe. Have you listened to the Steve Wilson remixes? They made CD and vinyl releases in 2018. Now listening to this Andy Bey - Ballads Blues & Bey Looks like it's only available at iTunes/Apple https://album.link/i/215944320 I got it elsewhere. Sweet beautiful music for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

No mechanical shutter, no EVF, no flash... not that amazing for $1500 plus glass. Maybe that LUT thing is of interest to some people.

I guess "original record" for Fragile means first CD edition, or would you be comparing the vinyl too? I'm not a big Yes fan, but I'd be interested in reading your thought about the different releases.

I don't have a dream system anymore. Maybe a dream room to put a decent system inside. What would I set up in that room? I don't know, I'd need to trial and error a lot of stuff. Nothing that's going to happen in this lifetime of mine. Nobody asked before being born. Meantime, attending live concerts in real venues should be enough.

I'm not sure they're stupid, or stupider than their elder. It's just that they're so self absorbed that they won't listen to the question.

Condolences, Jose. I'm hoping your condition is a thing of the past, if not yet, soon enough. There's no such thing as a small cancer requiring chemo for treatment. Best wishes, and share/vent as you want.
