  1. I like the B22 very much with most phones, but I wouldn't say it's the best match for the HD800. I like the Gilmore Reference better (SE more than balanced) and the Luxman P1 even more. It all depends on what HD800 features you want to enhance and which ones are better tamed.
  2. Downloading it. I wish more artists followed this business model and offered 16/44 or higher lossless files at a sensible price.
  3. Have a great one Pete!!!
  4. Happy belated Birthday Todd. I wish it was a great one
  5. Whoa! Thanks a lot mates . And Happy belated Birthday to Laxx and Tachikoma. BTW that trifecta thing sounds like a disease hehehehe
  6. Charles Mingus - Blues & Roots
  7. Good idea, my wife wants visiting Edinburgh again, so I'd have the best excuse
  8. Prince - 20Ten
  9. I like Mezzoforte. They have a saxophonist who must be Birgir's relative
  10. Thank you mates For a team which always played quite well but never won anything -until 2008's Euro Cup-, being in the World Cup finals after beating Germany playing the way they did... is simply awesome.
  11. Whoa 50!!! that's great Have a very Happy Birthday Mike
  12. Happy Birthday Birgir!!! Have the badest assest BD of your life until the next one, of course
  13. And I can't get a service any faster in my area
  14. Congrats Ric, you deserve some treat now, don't ya? I watched Brazil defeat too Not that it surprised me, they have superb players, but lack that group spirit that make things work when difficulties appear. Let's see what happens today with Germany vs. Argentina and Spain... oh Spain
  15. I like better Sympathique for cheering spirits up. AC/DC is also quite energizing for me. Definitely not Tchaikovsky for a quick happy effect. Take care
  16. Happy Birthday mate
  17. From another thread I've seen you (Boomana) already know "a bit" about MMW Also that you're exploring a big deal of "new" to me bands. If you want to investigate into jazz, maybe "classic", perhaps funky or whatever, let's know, there're lots of great albums to listen. Do you like Hammond B3 based jazz? Now a couple of recommendations: Bebo and Cigala - L
  18. Status Quo - Whatever You Want
  19. Better to the ears than to the mouth
  20. Congrats Doug, best of lucks!
  21. Happy Bday
  22. Woah!!! I'll do my best to attend such meet. Madrid wouldn't be that bad to host it, big airport and all that, but hotels are on the expensive side of things, getting worse by the VAT rise. Freaking hot on summertime though. Iceland sounds great too
  23. Since the point is recommending some "desert island" recordings which we think you deserve, here go some: Eva Cassidy - Live at The Blues Alley. You probably already own this recording, if not, get it. She's far from a cheesy singer. Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers - Moanin'. Not sure if you're into jazz at all. In any case this is a terrific hard-bop album which might be a good starter. Medeski, Martin & Wood - Radiolarians I. I like these guys, I could recommend any of their albums, but this is the one I'm listening to right now and is full of fun and good vibes More later, it's lunch time.
  24. Been very busy and away from HC for a few days, then I find this thread full of beauty, awesomeness and pure win. Gorgeous cans Smegmaster, congratulations to the owners
