  1. "No reason not to be excessive". Sounds like a great custom title for you
  2. Thanks for your sympathy Deepak. I still have to contact Stax somewhere in Europe (not the Spanish rep who would send it to Japan and charge me an arm and a leg) to see if they can fix it. The silliest part is how it blew up. Just for a few sweat drops of mine -it was hot and I was working cleaning and adjusting things in the rig- which managed to get into the thing and create an arcy-sparky act 2x
  3. Patxi is FJ here. He reads the forum when has some time, but is too shy to participate. He's experienced, owns a headphone collection in the impressive side of things, and still thinks he's a newbie. I wouldn't say he owns a machine shop, that of his is more a factory. They produce custom metal pieces for aircrafts, civil engineering (like airports and such), ships... so finishes aren't exactly their thing. That prototype shows different finishes in the front, back and cover. The JR like in the front will be improved The aluminum used for it is actually a true milspec aircraft alloy which he chose for its heat dissipation and hardness properties. The thing in person is really impressive, no pics I've seen make true justice to that chassis. I can't wait to have the final thing made Even more now that my 717 is dead

:prettyprincess::dan: My deepest and heartfelt congratulations All the best for the young lady and the proud parents.
  7. Was listening to Michael McDonald's Motown Two Then started this little gem Teddy Wilson - Of Thee I Swing
  8. Looks like you didn't read your welcome message Read it again, then you'll know.
  9. Truly sorry Steve It's terribly hard seeing a beloved one going downhill. We know moments like this will come, however we keep loving. I wish that love you gave to your friends helps to make you stronger when the moment arrives. Good luck.
  10. Happy Birthday, I wish you're having a bon vivant's celebration
  11. Whoa! that's great news. I'm glad you've recovered your old love
  12. Oh, I thought I was the only one who found that recording a bit "repetitive"
  13. Ooops, that sucks big time Dan. Most people get used to the machines, it's sleep partners who sometimes complain, but for the most part it's better the machine noise than the snoring aloud which usually goes along apnea
  14. Ethan, if your stomach can endure corticosteroids you could take NSAI with proper gastric protection. Anyway, I understand your doctors prefer the corticoids, yours must be a tough case and corticoids are more effective. It's the long term side effects which are to be feared. I hope you can stop using them soon Oh, I re-read your first message and looks like they were suppressed last week, so the new symptoms started. In this case I wish you won't need to take them again.
  15. Great news Al, I hope the kid fits and manages to take profit from this nice opportunity. Brent, glad to read you're moving on. That's the attitude Some rest will help to put things in perspective too.
  16. Best wishes Ethan, get well soon. As Kevin said, ask your doctor if it'd be possible suppressing the corticosteroids or substituting them for other NSAI. Getting rid of all that uric acid is what you need. Deposit and inflammation are just consequences.
  17. Nope, just got the albums to see how I like her. Need further listening to decide, rather good though
  18. ^ mine too
  19. I'm really sorry Brent. I wish it has a good outcome.

looks like adktitan read his welcome message and got some profit from being around. Not that I think we're wise people or have any arcane knowledge which can't be found anywhere else, but he has a point: Most of the information is around, probably not in "reviews" sort of presentation, nor in replies to clueless newbies looking for someone else to get the responsibility of their purchases. In any case most of HC established members are quite knowledgeable of their stuff, so their opinions are worth reading. They won't try to convince you that they own some truth which anyone else is missing. But for the JH stuff, but that's another whole story
  22. Happy Birthday Rodrigo!!!! Que cumplas muchos m
