  1. Yep, import taxes are an issue, that's why I think a good entry port could be UK for I have the idea (maybe wrong, so any UK pal may confirm) they have a more relaxed control. Once the device is in EU, no taxes, just shipping cost. I could give a hand with any Spanish candidate who might be interested. Some people reading this forum are members on the Spanish forum "Auriculares.org", so it's possible I know them.
  2. For me it wouldn't be a significant savings, since I'd need to add shipping to Europe and eventually Customs expenses. That price is about MSRP in Japan, which I hope can be lower, perhaps waiting some time. But for you Americans looks pretty good.
  3. Europe isn't that big, and shipping expenses shouldn't be very high for a relatively small parcel. It'd be required that participants tried to arrange the waiting list in order of proximity to make shipping cost lower. So the parcel could travel from US to UK or Iceland then going to the next closer participant. You'd just need to set the rules, trial term, checking participants identity and good will, etc. Just like you'd do within the US but across the Pond.
  4. Best wishes to MOTTOTU. You owe yourself a proper celebration when she's well and moving is finished. Hopefully very soon.
  5. Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears - Scandalous Last listening on a morning full of Thelonious Monk after a damn awful on-call
  6. Any chances of an overseas round this time?
  7. I'd be in for a group buy if we got some interesting savings.

  10. ^Thanks for confirming
  11. He's referring to the Headamp Gilmore Lite (now discontinued) or the GS-1. Those use the Dynalo circuit in SE. This same circuit in balanced, if I'm not wrong, is the Dynamid. You can try to DIY, circuit and parts needed are still available. There's a Chinese manufacturer making a version on the cheap the Sheer Audio HA-006.
  12. My suggestion: iTouch or iPod (I use ALAC but use whatever pleases you) --> LOD --> Pico Slim --> Audio Technica ESW10. Since these have been discontinued, ESW9 can be a nice second best option. This is what I use when on-call and leisure trips.
  13. Martha Argerich, Claudio Abbado, BP - Prokofiev piano concert nr.3, Ravel piano concert in G-Major. The Strokes - Angles

  20. Yeah, why not, they don't state how long will it take to end.
  21. Good luck Jacob, best wishes
  22. Also Craig and the rest of our Japanese mates. I wish they're all fine. Jacob, no worries, I get the point. Hopefully the meltdown doesn't happen and no new big quakes either. It might be terrible a new damage on the structure.
  23. I just finished this little gem: Ben Webster & Joe Zawinul - Soulmates And now listening to this Lou Reed - Berlin Funnily enough I've just noticed one of the reasons I like Amanda Palmer
  24. I hope you're right Jacob. I fear the companies involved in the plant aren't completely honest, so security measures aren't what they're supposed to be. They're scoring the hazard at 4/7 and I'm not sure how much scored Chernobyl on that scale
  25. Holy shit. Awful indeed. Best wishes to those people, I hope the nuclear plant holds on. Chernobyl was awful enough already
