  1. Happy Birthday dear lady
  2. Happy Bday!!!
  3. This place is about friendship, knowledge, sane criticism and serious music enjoyment. If you don't fit any of those, then go elsewhere. If you are hesitant why you're not fitting, then think again. It's possible you're not that knowledgeable or just you can't practice a healthy criticism. Take your time to guess why.
  4. Wow, this went fast. I guess they'll be available here in a few days/weeks
  5. I like Mullova's playing a lot, so I'm biased. Not very familiar with these concerts either. I think it's a good performance, but can't say how it compares to others.
  6. That was my point Jacob, it's kind of safer to have a dead Bin Laden, but it's hard to believe that thing of in the sea burial, which isn't part of any Muslim ritual.
  7. Happy Birthday Manuel. Tenha um dia maravilhoso
  8. Patricia Barber - Monday Night. Recorded Live At The Green Mill Vol.2 Even better than the other IMHO.
  9. It was Viktoria Mullova, LAP - Stravinsky, Bartok Violin Concertos Now it is Art Pepper - Gettin' Together! Later will be Patricia Barber - Monday Night. Recorded Live At The Green Mill, Chicago, IL February 20, 2006. Download only release ($12.99 in FLAC)
  10. I think it's great news that the bastard is captured, dead or alive. I really don't know if believing they killed him. Why the body in the sea? It seems safer for everyone telling the world he's dead, but I think it's still possible he's alive and being on interrogatory. Now I'm concerned if there will be reprisals by the followers. Here in Madrid we already had a dose of their motherfuckery, which served the current government to win the elections Hopefully this leads to stop or just decrease Islamic terrorism. We'll see. Good luck and best wishes.
  11. Happy Bday
  12. If that site hadn't such large pages number, loading the pages using autopager on chrome (I guess there must be something similar for Firefox and other browsers) into the same tag, would let you use Ctrl+F for a text search.
  13. Happy B-day Ryan!!! Have a great day
  14. As if English wasn't hard enough I'm glad Ollie is back home
  15. Big congrats to Jim and Ollie!!!
  16. Thanks guys, I've just shot my foot Luckily the old PC still works fine. Looks like a cured it, but I didn't dare to plug back the SCSI things.
  17. Sorry for the bad news about Ollie Best wishes.
  18. Happy B-Day!!
  19. IMHO if average read/write rates for a SSD are under 300Mb/s any transference bandwidth above 400Mb/s makes little to no sense. Perhaps when SSD or other storage technology manages to have significantly higher read/write speeds, those huge bandwidths make more sense.
  20. Hugh Laurie - Let Them Talk On track 3. Quite surprised so far.
  21. Congrats cj, it's great knowing what you want to do with your life. I'm glad you chose medicine, on the long run I find it a very satisfying profession, it feels great doing good things for other people.
  22. He might have had his incus (anvil) dislocated
  23. Al, while not the kind of great news we're expecting, that sounds hopeful. Best wishes and good vibes going to you
  24. It hasn't shut down itself again. I'm considering to plug in the Adaptec and SCSI HDD again to see what happens. When it works good considering an upgrade/change seems silly.
  25. Thanks guys for making my decision even more difficult No, seriously, on my current computer, which by the way is now behaving after I've improved CPU's heat dissipation, playing HD video over flash is a PITA. I'm not much of a gamer nor planning to do video edit, other than perhaps a few minutes of instruction videos. No Bluray, no 3D in a midterm future. So knowing that a 6000 series GPU can make things easier for the CPU watching the Berliner Philharmoniker online is very interesting. One more reason to see what's the new iMac mounting. I've checked Dell and a 27" display alone is close to 1000 euros, so building a windows computer with the same performance as the i3 iMac, would make the overall cost about the same, and a "serious gamer" computer with such display would be about the same as a quad iMac with SSD plus HDD. So unless this computer definitely crashes and I can't live much time with the MBP as the only computer, I'll wait to see what the new iMacs have to offer. Hopefully that won't be more than a few weeks.
