  1. You're not alone. I've been fiddling with the dark one, but the clear characters on a dark background end up being more tiring for me.
  2. Hang in there mate, pain will go soon. Best wishes
  3. Could you please post some graphs? You may use Audacity which works on Mac, Linux and Windows and is completely free. It'd be much appreciated. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
  4. Have a great one Laine
  5. Happy Birthday!!!! Have a great one
  6. First step done, you're still alive Looks like you can move your legs, so the second check point in importance seems to be good too Now we need to know if you can feel around your pudenda and hold peeing and pooping like a big boy Bestest wishes mate, keep posting.
  7. Live with it for a while, then decide.
  8. Good luck Brent. Good part is that if either you lose your sphincters control or not, the pain of the back will go, either for the surgery or the drugs Of course just joking. Everything will be OK mate, best wishes
  9. Happy B-day!!!!
  10. The HD600 sound surprisingly good paired with a Pico, and you won't have much trouble with excessive "canned" bass. Can't speak about the 900.
  11. Sorry for your pain, Brent. As Jvlgato said, it sounds like you've got a herniated disc between L5 and S1, maybe L4-L5 or hopefully not, both. You need to rest, take the anti-inflammatory and painkiller drugs, and wait to see if it needs surgical treatment. I wish it doesn't, most of the times it gets well with physical therapy alone. Best wishes your way
  12. Fantastic news Dusty, I'm glad for you. Best wishes!
  13. I also prefer the Lavry to the Benchmark. The DA-11 is a pretty decent sounding piece of equipment, full of features for the price.
  14. I'm not anti-anything, just I can't get into some genres. Hip-hop is one of them. I guess having to pay extra effort to understand the rhymes and discovering they're mostly about nonsense doesn't help much. I guess there must be good examples worth listening and learning to love, but for me KW isn't one of them.
  15. Well, times change and one needs to learn to adjust to new things, or at least trying. Usually I don't bother with much of the contemporary "pop"--in its widest sense--music, but I needed to try with this disc just for it being raved by so many people.
  16. I'm a bit like Birgir, while I can enjoy some flawed phones (like the PS-1 for instance) I can't stand a few precise flaws, one of them being noticeable peaks of response on certain treble areas. Unfortunately there are a few more Knowing if the 009 are going to have those flaws or not before spending their price is something useful IMHO. Arnaud, I got the 007 mk1, but I have no top notch amp for them (some day eventually), just a decent one, the 717. I think this combo can be improved in a few areas with a better amp, but I believe they are more related to sound dynamics than to sound timbre. Each one of us has his own set of needs and preferences. Some people can tolerate a lot of different "flavors" and being happy with most of them. Others have a more limited capability of abstraction into the music and need their set of "minimum well done things" properly resolved. "Extra resolution" at the expense of treble peaks isn't one of the things I think the 007 need to improve. However it's possible the 009 offer so many other good things that the-yet-to-be-assessed peak won't spoil the joy. We'll see, I still have to see measurements which are really to trust, and a pair of "approved ears" which have listened to them
  17. Best wishes Dusty, I hope she gets well quickly.
  18. It's not my type of music. I disliked the feeling of it being a constant copy of old well known tunes. I don't understand the hype, yet less the morons at Pitchfork giving it a 10.
  19. Sorry purrin, but the O2 (007, second graph) don't have that peak. Again, the difference between both phones in that area is about 5dB.
  20. Excellent news Vicki. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  21. Not really, to be so, we'd need the peak at the frequencies our ear is less sensitive at low SPL, not where it's most sensitive which is close and around 3.5KHz Good cans for low volume level listening are the ones with response curves in V shape like the PS1000 you mentioned, GS1000, etc.
  22. hahahaha. She'll notice.
