Maybe the window for reading response is set to follow the stimulus duration. That would explain the short decays. No idea where to set those separately or if they're linked and you indeed need to make the sweep 5-6 ms long.

You're welcome mate, glad to help. It's a pity NA discontinued the Interspace, it was a very good sounding deck even with an affordable Rega 250 arm. I'm jealous the load of fun it must be visiting that Analog Room. We have nothing like that over here. I wish you find something you love

That seems interesting too, IMD values on those phones mainly on the dynamics look pretty high compared to THD. Planars fare rather good.
-
Those news aren't as good as we were expecting, but I'm sure they will be able to stop the bleeding. Hang in there mate. Best wishes and even better luck

It can handle ALAC and wma too, but you need to install the 1.3 beta, which IMO is preferable. It also has a better, more detailed frequency grid in case you need to carry spectrogram analysis. You can read about it here

We're going to Geneva, my half-brother (we've been friends for over 30 years) lives there and is arranging some excursions and such. Been there before, we love the town and the country. It's a pity it's not the Mountreaux Jazz Festival season now, I've always wanted to make things meet.

Excellent news Marc. I guess the hematoma was a subdural one. How long had it been there? It's great he had proper surgery at a proper hospital, that DPRK thing scares the shit out of me. Best wishes. I'm sure he'll fully recover pretty quickly. Nat, glad to read that flu isn't hitting hard on you. Get well soon. I'm officially on vacations since Thursday. In a few days we'll be leaving for a couple of weeks trip.

I used them with the UE trifi. Comfort good, isolation good too, a bit annoying the insertion procedure, but disliked the sound profile. They made the bass still more prominent.
-
It depends on location. If caused for a blunt force trauma, it's possible it's from an epidural or subdural hematoma, which are usually very accessible and shouldn't carry much danger. But if it's in a deeper location, or into a vein, things could get more tricky. Best wishes, hopefully it's an accessible one

Were it my dough, I'd stay away from any of those, and would look for a Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck or Ace Spacedeck if you can stretch the budget a bit. If that's too expensive (the deck alone costs $1700-1900, then there's the cart), another really good TT is the Michel Tecnodec with the Tecnoarm or if that's too expensive, then with a Rega RB250. You'll wonder why, but IMO Clearaudio is to turntables what Rudistor is to headphone gear. Maybe a bit better build quality, but that's all. Rega is OK price-quality wise, but you need to like their PRAT uberalles sound. If you've tried one and like it, then get it, otherwise be prepared to preferring anything else. The Marantz is just a join venture of Clearaudio giving brand and know-how to Marantz. No big deal, more or less like spending thousands of dollars on a Musical Fidelity TT NA and Michel are entirely another kind of product. Maybe not the best build quality and finishing in the world, but incredibly good sounding stuff.

Not fan of custom earpieces myself. Were I, the JH-13 would be another option. As usual, I won't do much until the X-10 break, so will need to use the Triple-fi 10 which have been unused for months. This will trigger the decision making circuit, I know

I asked because it's been years since I tried a pair of ER-4S, which I disliked, probably more due to the lack of amplification than for they being intrinsically flawed. I use the iPod while going to work, so I like better not needing an amp. I'm using the X10 now, which sound good, but they're starting to show ageing in the cable, and left channel sometimes does a poor contact at the plug. They'll need a replacement and the ER-4 could be a good one, weren't for the Westone 4 doing like this in front of my eyes
-
Is this model good for a bare iPod or needs amp? (I'm assuming you got the ER-4PT)

Really terrible, I didn't expect she was this young and leaving a kid. My deepest condolences.

It was until 2008, in 2007 they raced there IIRC. That interests me, they had there the MotoGP races last week. How is Austin circuit?
-
Is F1 going next year to Austin and not to Indianapolis? In what fucking cave do I live? Anyway, it's very unlikely I can make it, but my father in law might
-
Yep, something is possibly wrong, I've seen other waterfalls of the 701 showing more ringing around 5-6KHz with a decay in the 3-4 ms.
-
Excellent news Brent, really good Sorry for your loss Ken. Surgery is always a serious matter, and I've never undergone it unless strictly necessary.

Jimmy Scott - Heaven First disc on the "new" LCD-2, first listen of this album. Good on both accounts.
-
Now you're talking, arnaud. For my old eyes and brains those look much more readable. Do you have graphs from the LCD-2 or any other orthos? I think it'd be utmost interesting having the waterfall plots of the LCD-2, HD800, 007, 009, Beyer T1, Ultrasone Ed10, and whatever Grado thinks is their top of the line nowadays, GS-1000, PS-1000, RS-1 or all three. The HP1000 look really good IMHO.

Nice pics, better food and even better company. Who needs anything else!

Parliament - The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein And now that it's over, to celebrate I'm finally and officially on vacation, Pink Floyd - Relics
-
I have to agree, your plots are easier to read for me than arnaud's However I'd like to see more detail on the frequency grid, so we can know the exact frequencies where the resonances happen.
