  1. hahahahaha. Thanks for this opportunity Miguel. However I'm not in the continental US
  2. My condolences raffy. You'll overcome it, but knowing it doesn't make this moment any less hard. Best wishes. Al, they're doing a good quality job, so that's the bright side. You just need to be patient, then sue them and enjoy the house
  3. Not if you're in the duty free area by the watches-jewels shops.
  4. Welcome Benjamin! Congratulations Chris! I still find amazing that these things happen
  5. That sounds more like the work of a Spanish handyman crew than that of a serious company. I understand your anger. Unfortunately it won't change anything. Best wishes Al.
  6. The Complete Blue Note Recordings of Albert Ammons and Meade Lux Lewis (Mosaic). If you like boogie-woogie it is a must have
  7. Thanks! I used to do that when I shot film using the Pentax Super-A, but once life got complicated and digital photography became the new flavor, I quit taking pictures for fun. Looks like I'll have to get a DSLR one of these days
  8. I've missed a few BDays on these days I've been away, sorry. Happy belated anyway!
  9. A few shots from our just finished vacation in Geneva. Please be reminded that these pics were shot with a P&S (or POS) Canon IXUS 80IS (PowerShot SD1100 IS ELPH in the USA). Some of you may remember that I asked for advice when considering to get a decent DSLR. Decided to go with the P&S on this trip so I could see if I still enjoyed taking pics (which I did immensely) and if having a more capable camera is worth it. No tripod available, just bare hands, I swear.
  10. Good luck with that cart change
  11. They must have changed their mind. That stupid Harman website is more interested on my location than in showing the product. No way a search in the American or EU site shows anything vaguely related to MS-2 or pocket digital processor. It might have an use in headphonedom if you could place its measuring microphone towards the headphones driver in a similar situation as our ears would be. Besides that, I don't think it would do much more than a EQ. In a car with 4, 6 or more speakers it can change more parameters.
  12. You're sick. Problem is that I'm too
  13. Really really nice Deepak, congratulations for that set. Listening to Michelangeli playing Bach, Brahms and Mozart. I love this pianist Before that I was listening to Dave Douglas on his 1994 "In our lifetime"
  14. Damn Clearaudio, stay away from them. Congratulations for the purchase, that's a fantastic deck, it's almost an hyperspace and I'm not really sure the ultra-heavy platter is that important to final sound. BTW, get an affordable DL103 if your phono preamp allows it, on that deck will sound very very good for the price. Meanwhile you may save for a badass cart which that deck deserves. I can see in your horizon a ZYX, Dynavector, Shelter...
  15. Just had lunch here, but gonna raise a limoncello for Claire. Best wishes of a complete curation healing. Edit: This damn Latin thing and how saxons learned it
  16. You're doing great Brent, best wishes for day 2
  17. Cool, good luck mate
  18. Sorry, otherwise I would get you any bottle of whatever anís you want. Chinchón ones are good, seco is mildly dry, and dulce is just a bit drier than Marie Brizard. If you want it stronger, you have "seco especial" which is 74%vol (absinthe like), "extra seco" at 50-55% vol. Another good Spanish Anís is Machaquito, which has two types, "seco" at 55%vol and "dulce" 35%vol. I'd say Machaquito seco is one of my favorites, but if you like this kind of strong spirits, you may wish to try some Galician "orujo" or even a well made "pacharán" (or patxarán in the Basque Country) which uses orujo-like liquor flavored with fresh sloes put in for maceration.
  19. Why not? Customs block to foreign spirits?
  20. This could interest you. Amazing deck with upgraded platter and tonearm.
  21. Best wishes mate, I hope you can stand and go through it like a champion
  22. Terrible news It seems a better idea cooking indoors.
  23. Marc, best wishes, hopefully Plavix effect reverts soon and bleed stops. As long as they have some control of intracranial pressure and can manage hematoma evacuation, he'll be fine.
  24. I hate excessive heat too, though I prefer it dry than humid. I can't stand that sticky heat of the tropics. Regarding how this affects people, I can't really say, in Serbia, Russia and other not so hot places there are a lot of violent killing prone people. Human condition I guess.
