That could be interesting, at some point they used Lamm electronics IIRC, not sure if speakers were ATC.
  5. Happy Birthday Dan!!!!! Have a really good one.

    Top Gear

So Birgir and you may be half brothers
  9. The concept reminds me of the Memory Player at a more affordable point (if 5000 bucks may be considered affordable), without the storage capabilities, but including a DAC. Interesting, but not sure it's going to better a MBP with XLD for ripping, using Amarra for playback, and connected to a good USB DAC. Looks nice though
  10. Happy Birthday!!!!!
  11. I'm really glad you're enjoying it, it's a very nice album. There's also a DVD from a live performance of Bebo and Cigala. Now I'm listening to Estrella Morente - Mujeres. This album includes the song "Volver" which Penelope Cruz fakes to sing (or maybe she really sings it, not sure) in the Almodovar's film. I'm not a flamenco fan at all, but this is an enjoyable album even for me
  12. Cheers!!
  13. Great news, Mike. Congratulations!
  14. Happy Birthday!!!!
  15. Damn, I'll have to buy one of those
  16. How do you know?
  17. Happy Birthday, Steve!!!! I wish you have a great one
  18. Watched yesterday the 12 episodes. It has some hilarious moments indeed, but overall it's quite crazy bordering absurd. Not bad, good watch after an on-call
  19. Funnily enough I was told a different story from that at the Wikipedia article. They told me that by the XVII century there weren't really surgeons (mostly cause there weren't anesthesiologists either) so anything which had to do with draining festers and the like was performed by dentists, which were considered an inferior class than "true doctors". Dentists of course weren't doctors but misters. As medicine and surgery evolved and became complementary parts of health care, which you needed a medical degree to practice, the tradition kept the different addressing titles, and always gave some preponderance to doctors over misters. I guess someone made that story up to prove a point about British being social class minded people, or whatever. Maybe one thing is what surgeons want to believe and other what people think hehehehe. Take care Dan, you'll be enjoying your IEMs in no time
  20. Happy Birthday
  21. We're Dr here, I think it's just in the UK where surgeons are an inferior category and considered dentists descendants, hence the Mr Glad of having been right and it's just a small wound in the ear canal. These heal well pretty quickly One week of no IEMs is playing quite safe.
  22. Hope the kids get well soon, Nate. Take care of yourself
  23. Happy Birthday, have a great one!!!
