  1. Until the neighbors complain or the wife asks for a break. Any of both happens in a few minutes, so no danger for the ears.
  2. No it's not, but we have loudspeakers
  3. I have a similar condition, Jacob. I've noticed that cans having "heavy" bass are more prone to excite the tinnitus. The HD 800 aren't one of them. Just use lower listening levels and you should be fine. Leave it more at 80dB. Of course not using the cans at all is safer
  4. The pirate mother lode.
  5. Define "not superloud". Safe levels are in the 80-85 dB for listening sessions of more than 4 hours. This assuming occasional peaks well under 95-100dB. The good ting about these loudness wars and compressed music is that you don't have to worry about the peaks anymore
  6. Or just lowering your listening levels a bit.
  7. Mal, in Spanish, actually translates more as Evil than Bad. Has anyone listened to the thing or even read a mildly reliable comment? The idea of having an amp for every headphone sounds great to me, but I thought it wouldn't be possible unless you used trafos on one of the output types. Or on both as Birgir suggests. Interesting nonetheless, unsure this is a decent implementation.
  8. I wish you had a happy Birthday
  9. Pretty big stone, it's not surprising you were in such pain. Nate, not only drinking a lot of water, also some diet measures could be advisable depending on the stone composition. Take care
  10. Great news, Nate. it was about time! Now be careful not to grow more of those.
  11. With one of these

    Wow, that's the awsum!
  13. Congratulations!!!
  14. Looks like baby shummy doesn't have many fans around here
  15. Incredible race. I still don't get why they needed the safety car after "that" breakdown, nor why it took that long to get it off the track. Amazing race nonetheless.
  16. Happy Birthday to both!!!
  17. Best wishes, Steve
  18. Happy Bday!!!
  19. Brent, behind the eardrum is the middle ear. Amoxicilin should take care of a middle ear otitis pretty well. In the worst case infection will end up perforating the drum and suppurating, which would relief the pain. However there's probably some inflammation of the external ear canal. If symptoms worsen, like more pain, dizziness, vertigo, hearing loss, facial palsy... go to your ENT right away. Take your pills, use some local heat on your ear, and avoid water getting into it, just the antibiotic drops. Feel free to PM me if I can be of any assistance
  20. Inner ear? No way, did your doc say that?. Inner ear is the cochlea and labyrinth, if you had an inflammation of infection there you'd be deaf and with a so serious vertigo that you wouldn't be able to post. You've more likely got an external ear infection which is perhaps also getting into the middle ear if you have a perforation or other condition. If pain gets worse when you touch your tragus, it's likely an externa ear infection. If pain doesn't change, then I'd think of middle ear infection which might be getting to the external ear. Either way, don't wet the ear, just use the prescribed drops and take the NSAID, painkillers and whatever helps to relief the pain. BTW, local heat (as in a warm water bag) on the ear can be very helpful to relief the pain.
  21. Canals always should be properly aligned for whatever needs to be deeply inserted. Get well, Brent, I hope you got your drugs And Steve some use to his pinna.
  22. Happy Birthday!!!!
  23. I don't know if you have available ear drops with Ofloxacin plus dexametasone, they could help to speed up the inflammation control, hence the pain. Ear pain is really bad. Drug yourself Pull the pinna back and upwards, not the lobe. That's what will align the canal with the timpanic membrane
  24. 10 drops? That's way too much, just 3-4 drops is enough. Before applying make sure the liquid is at body temperature. The tinnitus should improve once the inflammation (being in the external or middle ear) is gone. How about your hearing?
  25. Doesn't seem that bad, Brent. You'll get better. Hopefully
