  2. Hearing loss after a defined acoustic trauma requires urgent study and if confirmed, it has a treatment (which may work or not) that seems to be more effective the earliest it's implemented. I wouldn't get any hearing aid until the hearing loss is confirmed and more or less stable and permanent. Forgive me but I can't understand what kind of a big POS you have for health care. Some conditions require assessment at the earliest. Sudden hearing loss is one of them, no matter the suspected cause.
  3. Dusty, you need your hearing checked asap if you haven't done that yet. I'm sorry for this condition, protect your hearing from loud sounds. >90 dB(A) is too loud.
  4. Happy Birthday, Todd!!! I wish you're having a great day indeed.
  5. If I had the muscle to afford it, I'd buy this very print: https://www.magnumphotos.com/shop/collections/elliott-erwitt/16-california-1956-california-kiss/?sku=PRINT-ERE-PLAT-PAR11118-30x40 It's been featured in many LP covers, like this one by Fairground Attraction A great photographer and artist. I find puzzling that after such a long life and thousands of photographies, it can all be resumed in a set of rather few pictures.
  6. So after 20 years you'd better buy a new pair 😪
  7. Peter Gabriel - i/o Available everywhere Double CD, 12 tunes (the same in both discs) by different mixers. Just finished the first one, "the bright". Not bad, but IMHO more for hard core fans. Taking a break before playing the second.
  8. Happy Bday, young lady! And congratulations, Brent. Awesome job.
  9. Happy Birthday!!!
  10. Happy Birthday!!!
  11. Happy Birthday, Mikey!!!

  13. New toys by Sony. Kind of impressive that global shutter thing.
  14. Yep, all rumours point towards a 32" iMac Pro which shouldn't be out anytime soon. They want the iMac to be their all in one entry level computer for home use. Probably I don't need more than that, but a 27" display is something that I'd like.

Ugly, demodé, too from the ugly part of the 70's. Definitely an acquired taste.
  16. I was wishing a 27" display iMac. It didn't happen
  17. If you're still in that vein, maybe this is right for you I enjoyed it a lot yesterday.
  18. Happy Birthday, Marc!!!
  19. Happy birthday, Dusty!!! Have a great one.
  20. It's a 5 disc compilation that "only" lasts 1h 24min. It includes many tracks that aren't very popular, I wouldn't say they're bebop standards, but showcases extremely well the evolution from swing into bop, and features many jazz stars like Fats Navarro, JJ Johnson, Stan Getz, Milt Jackson and Dexter Gordon among many others. Very fun. It's available on Qobuz
  21. Just finished 3rd season of Only Murders in the Building Pretty entertaining.
  22. I'm in complete agreement to your rant. Usually there are reasons why the labels didn't include those tracks in the original release. This is getting so absurd that I don't care for new "ultradeluxeanniversarynewfoundgems" anymore. Just an excuse to cash from the devotees.
  23. More Samara Joy, just in case you don't remember she's an incredible singer There are people who think that Emmet's Place concerts are the most relevant jazz events happening nowadays. If you check all the artists to visit his apartment, I kind of concur.
  24. Stay safe, Tyler. Troublesome times and place.
  25. Happy birthday, Wayne
