If you want an acoustic with beautiful tone, good sustain/resonance, and high playability, you may wish to try a Martin from the 000 series like any of these four. I played the EC, it felt great and sounded wonderful. My advice is that you go to a luthier shop and try a few ones. One needs to feel the guitar, see how soft or tough is playing it, and above all, how one likes its sound. The Ovations play just OK for me, but I really didn't like their tone unamplified.

RIP Yusef Lateef. Wonderful musician. I'll be playing later his Eastern Sounds, one of my favorite jazz albums. I wish there's some sort of wonderful place for people who have brought beauty and some happiness to others in this otherwise pretty fucked up world. Maybe that's just resting in peace.

I do carry a 64GB iTouch and the telephone. I think the iTouch is 2ndG so it can't even support iOS 7. The telephone doesn't have such memory.

You're not a sell out nor a shill, so probably the way to go is saying what you think. OTOH it's a well known fact that Stereophile, Innerfidelity editors try not to piss off large (or not that large but publicity space paying) brands with bad reviews, so they just don't write them. Maybe just acknowledging you've used the cans, you've measured them and that you are refusing to write the full review, is enough for those in the knowledge.

That looks interesting, Purk. I had a Sony mp3 player and I loved its sound. I've seen the translated version of that page. Looks like it will play up to 24/192 in FLAC and possibly ALAC too. Any idea if it can keep as well an additional SD card to increase capacity?

Thanks for the plots. I don't like very much the response peaks at 5, 8 and 10KHz, nor the impulse response, or the square waves for that matter, we've seen better and way better on cheaper, less pretentious cans.
