I respected his sportive abilities, but kind of disliked the guy. I read the news this morning here. It seems pretty terrible, they're not saying specifics about the injuries, but intraparenquimatous bleeding, were it the case, is very bad news for they cannot evacuate the hematomas. Depending on placement and extension, prognosis is really disastrous. I wish he recovers.

It's not as much as the real weight as the perceived one over the head. Anyway, I'm still keeping these LCD-2 (rev.2) so I'm not that unhappy with them.

Well, not bad. I can't wear the LCD-2 for long sessions, but for a couple of albums I stand them pretty well. It's not the pads what seem uncomfortable to me but the headband and the overall weight, so if the newer more comfy ones help, that should be good. I haven't listened to the LCD-3 so no idea if those or these new LCD-X are the step forward I could appreciate.

The chart is very nice. I think I saw something like that at Martin's website but I can't recall. The 000 is the most similar shape to a classical concerto guitar. What I liked most of that EC was how easy it was to hold the chords at any fret position, and also bending the notes, you can get a whole tone bending without really applying a lot of force.

What about isolation? Good to fly or train travel? As shitty as Denon's?

Jeff, did you feel nice playing the dreadnaught? I for one don't feel very comfy playing those huge things, but if you felt right and were able to hold the chords easily, the guitar looks pretty good.

So it looks like they're "more of the same". Why do you think they're more comfortable? Better pads or headband? Is it lighter? Better cup ventilation?

Yes you are, the HD800 isn't a bad match to the Dynalo-Dynamid at all. Depending on your source, I'd eventually upgrade it before getting a different amp.

IMHO mass produced guitars aren't what they used to be. These days they not even come properly adjusted and octaved. It's on small luthiers where the true value is, plus they have the personality that Dan is missing. Once they become famous and greedy, good quality is gone. Like on boutique audio amplifiers. Regarding the amp, Jeff wants a Mesa or something like that

I'd like to have that trouble of choosing a new hobby to blow cash on I haven't played the rocksmith, though a friend of mine is using GuitarBots to get his six year old son into playing guitar. It seems kind of fun, you may wish to try it.

Viktoria Mullova, Ottavio Dantone, Accademia Bizantina - Bach Concertos It's been recently released. Enjoying it a lot so far. The Stax Lambda Signature sound pretty good doing this stuff.

If you want an acoustic with beautiful tone, good sustain/resonance, and high playability, you may wish to try a Martin from the 000 series like any of these four. I played the EC, it felt great and sounded wonderful. My advice is that you go to a luthier shop and try a few ones. One needs to feel the guitar, see how soft or tough is playing it, and above all, how one likes its sound. The Ovations play just OK for me, but I really didn't like their tone unamplified.
