  1. Excellent new, Justin!!! I love when "I told you" is for such good things
  2. A great actor. RIP Mr O'Toole.
  3. Yep, but I'm pretty lazy and usually in a hurry, so I feed it with ALAC and when I've listened to all the albums, I renew the load.
  4. I do carry a 64GB iTouch and the telephone. I think the iTouch is 2ndG so it can't even support iOS 7. The telephone doesn't have such memory.
  5. Oh, how didn't I think of that. If the damn 701 needed about 1000 hours, these, being moar betta' surely will need about 2000
  6. Absolutely! I've had dinner already, but I would eat a good chunk of that poor little animal right now.
  7. Tyll, you have a reputation which most long time headphone aficionados know of and respect. IMHO you have to honor it being honest and giving your opinion. You're not a sell out nor a shill, so probably the way to go is saying what you think. OTOH it's a well known fact that Stereophile, Innerfidelity editors try not to piss off large (or not that large but publicity space paying) brands with bad reviews, so they just don't write them. Maybe just acknowledging you've used the cans, you've measured them and that you are refusing to write the full review, is enough for those in the knowledge.
  8. That looks interesting, Purk. I had a Sony mp3 player and I loved its sound. I've seen the translated version of that page. Looks like it will play up to 24/192 in FLAC and possibly ALAC too. Any idea if it can keep as well an additional SD card to increase capacity?
  9. Thanks for the plots. I don't like very much the response peaks at 5, 8 and 10KHz, nor the impulse response, or the square waves for that matter, we've seen better and way better on cheaper, less pretentious cans.
  10. Nope, he really seemed as though he wanted the headphones for something else than listening to the beautiful beautiful music. Tizzier than the 701? I think I'm not going to like that.
  11. Naaman, you can practice that because people won't ever dare to mess with you. Average to small sized guys, like myself, need to work around other approaches I've never tried the skunk strategy, but it could be a good one to perfect.
  12. Are you sure that Mikhail isn't behind all this? What an upgrade scheme
  13. All the Rx they took didn't show bone lesions in the joint, so my guess would be some inflammation from the crash, on some part of the capsule. Don't forget that your arm, hence the shoulder, absorbed all the impact from your fall. That broke the clavicle and probably left other damages, but just as contusion and inflammation. It will improve with PT, you'll see
  14. Sure, people'd need to be as tough as you to stand that At -20ÂșC I can feel how my brain starts to slow down. I wouldn't whine, but for sure I'd look for something warmer. I'm growing kind of "aged".
  15. How is that compatible with life?
  16. Yesterday died Chico Hamilton, the jazz drummer who worked with Ellington and many other big names. RIP Today Jim Hall has died too Sad days for jazz fans.
  17. I've never been at that cold in my life.
  18. Yep, a limited edition Sondek LP12
  19. That's a dead weight!
  20. Unsure that kind of control is the best way to get a steady speed on a rubber belt drive high inertia heavy platter system. Interesting nonetheless, but I'm afraid more expensive than I ever would dream to spend in a turntable.
  21. Looks good. No info about the motor?
  22. Well, that's not precisely dead weight, but point taken
  23. are you starting a factory? OMG
  24. Happy birthday, Todd!!!!
  25. Happy Birthday!!!!
