Shelly, get a SPL meter or install an App in your phone to measure the noise levels the dryer produces. I think anything under 50 or even 60 dB at 1 meter would be acceptable, but you may check with the manufacturer if it's OK.

IMO everyone have their own sweet spot of firmness-compliance to feel supported and comfortable. I wouldn't ever buy a mattress that I can't try at the shop. Even better if you've been able to try it for a couple of nights. Our last mattress purchase was after a couple of nights in a hotel that had a "perfect bed" for our needs. We got the very same mattress.

I have to use one of those memory mattresses at work when on-call. I really hate it. Maybe because it's a whore mattress used by 12 different people, but my back resents it even when I just can lie there for a few hours.

I'd look into Sennheiser's aviation head-sets. Depending on budget you may find there one ear or both ear headphones with microphone, and even noise canceling ones. I have experience with none, but I've seen TV journalists using the HME-26 for car and motorbikes broadcasts. I guess they provide excellent noise protection and can be worn for hours. Probably more expensive than the set you looked at.

What a race! I missed it live, but managed to watch it this evening online despite I knew part of the results. I still enjoyed it. It's kind of sad that we need rain and accidents to enjoy some emotion, but there's hope.
