^ I really really like my ultra bibs. By far the most comfortable bike shorts I have tried. Got out at 7:30 this morning with some friends and friend of a friend for an easy ride, ended up getting about 34 miles in before one of my friends hit a huge pothole (more like a split in the road) and did an endo. Mostly just shaken, but for some reason both of his brakes are stuck in the stop position and we couldn't figure it out why. Also, he had a pinch flat, and the new tube wouldn't take air, and when I got off my bike and set it down to help, I heard my rear tire suddenly deflate with another pinch flat, and of course my patch glue had turned into gum. Ended up calling it a day and catching a bus back. Fortunately the stops were fairly close to where we were and needed to go, so only had to carry the bikes maybe a total of a mile. I do feel like a real Seattlite now though, as it was raining for 75% of the ride. http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/578773923

Grilling is permitted. There are also 3 grills free for use in the common courtyard. The "wine storage" is the storage unit in the basement garage, near the bike storage.

Yes, and gas grills are allowed, but there are also 3 grills available for use in the common courtyard. I have not yet used the balcony in my current apartment.

Antonio, you are welcome to it, though do realize that the room is more likely to hold a computer desk or two and a diy workshop than a bed. While the apartment is only about 2-3 blocks from the space needle, the balcony view is basically just of the street below and the opposing building.

I also have a cheap memory foam mattress from Overstock, and sleep better in that than any other bed I have tried. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Bodipedic-10-inch-Queen-size-Memory-Foam-Mattress-and-Cover-Set/1150841/product.html Guess it is less cheap these days, but still way less than tempurpedic.

Signed a lease for a new apartment today. Moving downtown Seattle, in the South Lake Union neighborhood, half a mile from where I will be working (when not travelling or working from home). This is the layout of the one I rented: Though I am waffling about changing to this one, which is $40/month more and I would have to take it 6 days earlier: Synchronous gigabit fiber internet is going to be happening too.

Awesome. Plenty of time to go bike/break in your new running shoes.

Still can't figure out the guy in the back. Pretty sure it is JP#s. -
All the way=chamber sealer, right?

I had a chance to hear the ls50 today, and came away quite impressed.

I have a bunch too that I could probably dig out when I get home if that doesn't work.

Or cheap pcie soundcard with coax out.

Shelly you could just fix the AE5. Not that I am unhappy in any ways with my airmotiv 4, but I have realized that 99% of my home listening is on these at my computer, so therefore an upgrade is justified after I move. Not sure at all what to though, yet.

Ippudo was my favorite, and Hide Chan was really good too. I think I remember going to Totto and Sapporo and liking them, but less sure.

First they make sour beers, and now ramen? Are they trying to make me come visit again?

Ate way too much as the South Lake Union block party burger competition yesterday. Had one of each of the burger offerings, plus a bottle of water.

I somehow missed that Devon Townsend growled. Or was interesting. Saw him at the first concert I went to without my parents.

Jazz at the Pawnshop with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

How did you cook the Brussels sprouts?

Brisket is awesome. I had some last night, 72 hour sous vide at 130F, waygu beef.

Ended up slightly adjusting my seat height and moving it back about an inch based on several fit guides I read/watched. Now my stem seems to be too long, 110mm and I think I need about 90mm. Now that I think about it, I think I moved my saddle as far forward as it is above because I felt too stretched out.
-
What you should really be wondering is if I have any clue on how to set the fit.

Definitely aluminum (Cannondale) bike, forget if the old bottom bracket was aluminum or steel threads, but it was 100g heavier than the new one. I ended up switching the derailleurs between the two bikes, so now have all ultegra 6500 on the cannondale, new KMC X9.93 chain, and a new front derailleur cable, and then went out for a spin. Felt good, even though I am still super slow: http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/556708808
