No idea how, but it is probably a custom solution. No idea if it is actually async, but the fact that it doesnt work with Macs doesnt really mean anything. I would expect a custom solution to require the installation of it's own drivers, either through a separate software install or uploaded from the device. They probably just didnt bother doing Mac drivers.
Bah, beaten by Beefy!
Dont do that, measure DC voltage. Likely to blow your sub if you try and measure current by replacing the fuse with the dmm, since there is definitely something going on.
Oh, I would believe it. While the O2 is in the range of 100pf pure capacitance, I would expect the H2 is closer to 100nf. Probably less voltage, but a hell of a lot more current.
Yeah, they sure can photograph as either a fairly light brown or nearly black. You can also tell from the cable and arc assembly though that they arnt a later version. I think most people tend to just leave the pads as-is, though you can certainly experiment if you desire. Might be a hair more comfy with some very open foam, though that depends on your own ears.
Yeah, well, you can chalk that up to meet impressions v. owning a set for a month. Also, the specific case I remember where I was comparing the ESP950 and SR007, it was a mk2 SR007. Everything else was just listening to someone's rig as a complete unknown, except for the music.
The SR007mk1 treble is great, its just the fart which gets me. A few other minor things I would change, but the fart is by far the biggest. Need moar better amps now.
I was actually more wondering if you meant to have the diode connection on the same side, as I was under the impression that a Wilson mirror had it on opposing sides.
