Didn't get home until after 1 AM last night because of a 2+ hour flight delay, was most annoying especially since the plane was just sitting on the ground for most of that time and we were stuck inside it. As for TamJam/Geneapalozza, it was crazy & awesome! Thanks Gene for putting this shindig together, I had a great time. Copious amounts of liquor was consumed, which totally wiped me out at one point, which was awesome. Who cares about gear, TamJam was all about the liquor, and the crazy gang that showed up (but there was also some very fine gear in attendance too, like a Balancing Act and 2 dueling BHSEs). Was great to see everyone once again and I can't wait for the next time. One of these days I really should drink less - er, well, maybe. The only thing I regret from the weekend is not going to Mons Venus. Ah well, I'll have to do that some other time. I want to see the "flawless girl" that Dom described, squeaky voice and all.

Gee, thanks for letting the cat out of the bag. Can't you just ship that to me as usual? I wouldn't be using it at the meet.

I crammed an amazing amount of stuff into my carry-on bag - including my Nikon D300S to help cover the photography angle. It was easier to pack my Gilmore Lite so that's coming instead of the Avenson HPA, but still bringing the rDac and ES10. Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday, this will be awesome. I'm checking out Busch Gardens & St. Petersburg Pier on Friday, and probably the Florida Aquarium & downtown Tampa on Sunday - if anyone wants to join on either day, let me know. (Going to be offline starting tomorrow - but Peter, Justin, Matt, & Ari have my cell #.)

Helloween - 7 Sinners. This album kicks ass, I love it.

The Grace Design M903 looks like it covers all the mentioned features, plus it has 24/96 async USB.

Have fun guys, wish I could be there to join in the partaking of liquids. Snow sounds fun too, I definitely have to get back out to the Chicago area for a winter trip sometime!

No guns for me but I'm in for booze, fast cars, and loose women. 3 things that just go together, right? Man is there anything that can make TamJam even better at this point? I'll probably stuff some gear into my carry-on. Maybe the Arcam rDac, Avenson HPA, & Audio-Technica ES10.

Black Friday through Cyber Monday haul: - 5x 2-CD sets from YourMusic.com ($1 off per disc) - 1 DVD movie from ColumbiaHouse.com (45% off, free shipping) - Smallville Seasons 6-8 at Best Buy ($10 each) - 18 new music CDs from Spun.com (free shipping) - Adobe Lightroom 3 (50% off), 1 Blu-Ray/DVD movie combo set (50% off), & 2 music CDs from Amazon.com I decided that Elusive Disc/Music Direct are going to have to do better than a measly 10% off to get me to buy from them again.

Pics taken with the Canon S90. Many more pics on a DSLR which I also took with me, but not on this particular walk. Times Square wannabe Power Rangers in front of the NY Public Library

Miles Davis' Kind of Blue and Jeff Buckley's Grace 180g Columbia Legacy 2010 reissue LPs (scheduled to come out tomorrow). Amazon had really good prices on these the other day. Figured I might as well grab them for my future turntable....

Anne Sophie-Mutter with the New York Philharmonic performing Mozart's Violin Concertos 1, 3, & 5, and Wolfgang Rihm's Lichtes Spiel. I don't know if it was because of where I was sitting (2nd level up towards the back) or the acoustics in general, but I was a bit underwhelmed by her performance. The sound lacked a degree of intensity IMO. Technically she was amazing but I wasn't really "feeling" Mozart from her. I also caught two extremely minor flubs on her part, or at least they seemed like flubs. Fantastic concert though and it was great to finally see her after hearing about her so much.

Careful or Nate might send you something that blows up! I'd imagine a "red bourbon" concoction would be great for anime.

A strip club, eh? Have to admit I've never been in one, at least not yet. Oh and I laughed at the "Bail Bonds" too.

Going to make the sign-up cut-off sooner at 11/14 instead. I underestimated how quickly this would fill up. Anyone up for gifting two btw? (Currently an odd number of people but it remains to be seen if that will hold.) I can gift two but thought I'd ask anyway.

Ah, some very familiar locales. And fantastic pics as usual too of course. I especially like the one of Independence Pass.
