  1. How about using google site search for eBay, and including the seller's name in the query.
  2. I can't fully understand how a shop would align your car before installing new tires, unless there is some form of gross miscommunication that happened at the shop, which would be their fault. The proper questions should have been asked by the service writer before any work was done to the car. Your reply draft looks to be in good form, but I would seek further legal council just to make sure it's firm enough.
  3. Sorry to hear Al. No word yet about Todd's wife. Nothing I can say to make things better, but I certainly hope that you can find some sort of financial help from the state(I know, these are the one's responsible for the layoffs in the first place).
  4. The adverts make me think of 13th warrior. Interesting.
  5. 2050/38.3k (silk has 38.8k) 3650/16.9k (silk has 3050)
  6. you could possibly alter the overall impedance with the programming, even make it user selectable.
  7. Nice! My hunch was correct. Shelly, hug hubby once for each of us. Adrian, good to hear your dad is doing ok after the bypass. Al, repeat after Shelly, and 2 hugs from me. Mike, congrats for your daughter. Sounds exciting to me. Dinny, your gonna have so much fun with your son, who is fortunate to have you for a father. I just finished fixing the dryer again. Gonna call mom now.
  8. I didn't even notice the link. I see now it's Contemporary Fantastic Art. Thanks G-man. ...and another...
  9. Where can we find more of this?
  10. Dynastep
  11. Is there a place for onboard pull up resistors for the 8574?
  12. I have thought about you both all day, and I'm relieved to know that it is something that is treatable. Yes, I am a worrier too.
  13. If you have room, this might be another way to secure the IXYS part using a thermal pad with no mounting holes. This man'f is in Chicago, and has another similar, high temp device with a fulcrum opposite the device side.
  14. Can we see an updated schematic Kevin? I'm missing something here. Is the IXYS part an alternate current source? I don't see the +500v for the source pin. edit ... maybe I'm looking at the symbol upside down nevermind, I see now that that whole part of my schematic is X'ed out with a highlighter. I couldn't see it. edit #3: How can you make it any more easier to build than this?
  15. Yea that's what I was talking about earlier. Mounting the board on a parallel plane with the HS face. The devices could be mounted with the legs bent back a bit like Ti did on his amp, if the brackets get in the way. It would always be nicer though if there was a hole in the pcb to stick an allen wrench into for removal and troubleshooting purposes, unless the board is mounted on high enough standoffs that it wouldn't matter. Parallel plane mounted boards leave lots of room for PS and other stuff. As for heatsink machining, as long as the pcb mounting holes were spot on, you could be off quite a bit for the device mounting holes and it wouldn't matter much at all.
  16. If Ric's insouciant spending spree continues, you'll soon have at least one opinion.
  17. If the description of the 3U case on the modushop website is accurate, the 120mm internal height would equal 4.7244 inches.
  18. I just did a trial run with freeware CutePDF, using a batch of jpegs, and I am allowed to select a group of images and print to just one document. One minor snag is that the images are not all oriented in the proper direction, and when opening the file with Adobe reader and flipping one image, they all flip the same way. I think this can be managed on my end, and taking a pic of each page with a camera will be much quicker than using the small Canon scanner I have.
  19. Yea the tricky part for me is putting it into something that folks can read like a book, without spending a lot of money trying out rinky dink software that doesn't work, or only works for one page or some amount smaller than 200 pages. Just thought I would see if anyone else has tried this, without $adobe, before I commit to using some shareware.
  20. I need some advice on how to scan a book using a format that will be acceptable for both mac and pc users to be able to open and read. i'm thinking pdf right now. I don't have any high dollar adobe software, so i am looking for something cheap or free to use to scan this book and then have it all in one file to upload and share. I can also take pics of each page and do it that way if it would be easier. Book is about 200 pages. I use pc with w7 ultimate. I have scanner and camera.
  21. Harika bir gün Sherwood var. Hope it is a most excellent day for you sir.
