After 5+ phone calls Staples finally released mine to shipping and it supposedly shipped a couple hours ago. After learning that the sellers take on all the risk with fraud, I understand why, but I just wish they had more people dealing with the backlog. Supposed to arrive today but we will see. Edit: UPS says out for delivery. This plus 3D printer making it feel like Christmas.

Grrrrr. I guess staples sold a bunch of them because mine order is still on hold awaiting them clearing my account because I'm a first time user. If they sell my tablet out from under me I'll be pissed.

If you look at how much I have spent on bike crap you'll understand. I get to use pretty powerful computers at work and all I use home PCs for is photos, music and web browsing. Our oldest machine is a Dell Inspiron 9100 over 12 Years old (2 power supplies, 1 battery, 1 PATA hard drive, dvd drive, and replacement ballast for the back light). Runs windows 7 like a champ. The newest is a $700 Dell laptop that I bought for use as an audio host 6 years ago.

Me too Shelly. I figure that since I have not gotten a new pc in at least 5 years why not.

Staples had them in stock online with free 2 day shipping! We'll see if they deliver but supposed to be here Thursday or Friday.

Shelly I can get a 128 or 64 walking in but the 256 is back ordered. I called and could not get through to the actual store. If this meeting ends early I may try in person.

I'm going to be using my mtb that's for sure. Full suspension with rear wheel locked out is what it is going to be. I have a friend who did it and I can ask him.

Left work 30 min earlier than usual and had a nice and not scream inducing pickup from daycare. Not sure if this will hold but I'm willing to work every evening until the kids are older if I don't have to repeat last week's pickups.

Your first two sound like you want to be in zone 2 a lot. It's boring for most people (I actually like it) but it does increase endurance and burn fat more effectively (i.e. more of your energy comes from fat than at more strenous levels and you can keep it up longer. Full on sprints do burn more fat than zone 2 but you can't keep them up). I use Joe Friel's definitions for the zones but basically any of them will get you in the ball park for zone 2.

Upgraded my wife's surface to 8.1 which is a nice improvement. Made me want this even more. I called and the brick and mortar Microsoft Store and it is also sold out until December. Fuck. That said I am now thinking that there is no point in keeping my pre-order for 2 months from now. Probably going to cancel the keyboard at least so I don't have that sitting around for 6 weeks. Edit: I talked to Mircrosoft Store support who assured me that the keyboard would ship with the device but I recieved a shipping notice for the keyboard today... WTF indeed. I guess the only other option is the Sony Viao Tap 11 which isn't quite as good or pretty so I'll stick with my 7 week wait.

Actually the only ship-shipping ship is the original huge barge (which is a float on float off heavy lift ship). The rest are good old fashioned barges not ship-shipping ships
