I have those skewers and they are very nice functionally.
In other news this weekend has basically convinced me that the Diabolical Double is out the window for this year. I have not had enough time to ride and prepare for either the DD or the century. 3 hours of driving to do a metric seems a bit extreme but I am thinking about it.
I am probably going to sign up for the "Navy Federal Credit Union Armed Forces Cycling Challenge" ride in Crystal city to do it with a friend of mine. We'd be aiming for 5 laps in 3 hours (so I think that's 50 miles or so). Anyone want to join. It's a busy but fun ride.
Yesterday I was working on my 13 year old laptop and I apparently put put it down too hard and the file system corrupted. It is finally time to let this one go. I am about to do a low level erase with a Samsung hard disk utility.
I had some software on it that does network license checking so I hope that the developer is cool and transfers the license or that would suck.
I was thinking the same thing Ric but I see that there is going to be a 60 day warranty that seems like would address my concerns.
Probably still waiting until it's in production but $100 is a significant discount.
Also note that you would get a 20% discount as a previous owner
The wheel pasta was for the kids though they ended up falling asleep before dinner. Was planning cooking it for Easter but I wanted to ride tomorrow afternoon so I cooked it today instead.
Second time cooking this and it has turned out great both times. Super easy. The au jus turned out better this time though.
hmm. I just checked and I've got DOCIS3.0 modems at both homes. Both are double play too.... I may give that a try. It never seems though that my connection to them is the bottleneck, it's usually somewhere else on the internets...
You can get nice resamplers (eg. SoX, or Secret Rabid Code SRC) for Foobar. Also you will likely want to get a resampler that will do the dithering too.
Picked up my Calfee from the store today after they installed the new fork. Calfee did an absolutely great job and it matches the finish exactly. One less thing to worry about in the long term. I'm looking forward to riding it on the weekend.
I was supposed to make it out riding from work today and it actually looks like work would have co-operated but I worked yesterday evenging and forgot to get everything ready so no biking for me other than on my DeskCycle
Ben and I had a great ride in the Arlington hills. It was a good time
