I got my ass handed to me. I did like the B Pillar location though Edit: Turned out I got 3rd out of 6. The guy I was talking to destroyed everyone so I was more competitive than I thought in the rest.

My camera mount and vinyl magnets for numbers arrived for tomorrow. Not sure if I will mount inside or outside. I think the outside view is pretty cool but I'm not sure which is better for autocross. Edit: After reading a bit I changed to the B column but forgot to switch to wide screen. Should work well.

I drove the car to the lake today to deal with something and took a detour to haul ass down a country road. That was fun.

Good: All set for my first G Street Autocross event on Sunday. 2 Other Focus ST in my class so I'll have a good baseline (even if mines a bit of a porker with the sunroof) and the dealer fixed the autoglass issue and a minor issue with the hand brake that also now meant I got a fully re-aligned gear setup and that's way smoother which is great. Bad: my and Meaghan's cars got bumper damage from peoples front license plate screws, not sure where but I'm guessing someone at daycare is a fucking idiot.

Interesting. As of right now I wasn't planning/daydreaming about a gearing upgrade. I was just looking at a suspension, clutch/flywheel, stage 3 and LSD. Edit: It appears that the Getrag in the car deals with all that just fine...

I am still dialing it in but the TravkIR plus dirt rally is fucking awesome. So nice to be able to see the apex properly. Dirt rally also pushed a major update and looks awesome too.

Sorry for the flat. Cafe Latex or Hutchinson Fastair is your friend. Has worked great for me a few times.

In the awesome news turns out that course is taking part in SCCA Track Nights: http://www.wdcr-scca.org/news/tracknightinamerica In less awesome news that's a hell of a long way away from our home for a weeknight.

Happy birthday!

I will try and make it. Edit: The later window.

Soooo it turns out that this place just opened up about 8 miles from our lake house: http://roadcourse.dominionraceway.com/ I wish I had Jeff Level budgets but that's too rich for my blood even at the lowest level membership.

Anyone who has a chance to do autocross should do it. Basically risk free and an absolute blast.

Yes I have it off now going to try and figure out if sport or off is faster. Off is what the instructor liked. Edit: The Internet tells me sport or off for autocross and off for track days.

Wow Jeff, really sorry. I hope things improve in the morning

^ Probably Propofol (or at least you describe my experience with Propofol), probably better it not be OTC though as it's what killed Michael Jackson.
-
Yeah I was going to point out that when you have that kind of damage you are supposed to get off the racing line but then I remembered who I would be speaking to and left it alone.
-
^ It really wasn't (unless caused by driver error). I even had a few entirely clean races, I also had ones where I messed up and ripped off a wheel
-
^ At least last night we were racing with realistic driving aids and realistic damage so that was much less prevalent than in the past which is a good thing in my book.

Should we set up a regular evening? Tuesday night throw down? Wheelspin Wednesday? Etc...
