    Get your game on!

Anyone up for some racing tonight? I am off work tomorrow so I can actually stay up for a bit extra. 10pm EST?
  4. Brent's life is filled with so much suckage (i.e. Being Brent) that I feel that I should not take away his ability to have biscuits in his home area.
  5. I am not. I was hoping to get my new suspension stuff installed this coming week.
  6. Sorry crappy that sucks
  7. It's my impression that this has been true for quite some time. Dunno.
  8. All my flats have been tire replacing ones and I can't see going without a spare. An internet search turned up: http://www.bimmerzone.com/BMW_Performance_Spare_Tire/BIM-SST-E70-KIT.html I don't know if you use your 3rd row but that looks pretty good if you don't and I'd get a spare tire bag if you do. Not that much room used up. I'm trying to decide what the hell to do about the Koni's. I can return them and only be out shipping. I'm probably just going to keep them and get them installed and the car shock towers drilled so I can adjust them. I wonder how much a new trunk liner would be if I wanted to go back to stock.
  9. I can't modify my springs and stay in GS. The car handles great already but is actually a little tail happy which the sway bar improves a lot. Apparently the shocks help you get a wider handling sweet spot. People basically say the shocks don't make you faster but make it easier to go fast. I ordered them at the same time because I thought it would be worth doing both but as I look at wheels and rubber it gets harder to see the value of one upgraded corner vs the advantages described. We'll see what the return shipping will be to tire rack and make a decision
  10. I am starting to rethink my Koni's as I bet that I'm better off spending the $340 on some race rubber and I am now thinking that I see what the sway bar+rubber does first. If I install them in an adjustable manner it involves modification of the steel and interior to get the knobs to be accessed. Doing only the sway bar has the added advantage of being super easy to reverse and allow me to go back to stock for trade in. Of course by the time I think of this they had already arrived.
  11. He loves me!
  12. Me most right?
  13. Deep fried chicken gizzard is a Barbados delicacy. Tastes fucking amazing if you like dark meat

    Get your game on!

So we should play Project Cars. 10 pm EST?
  18. I would probably have one if they were legal here but I have to make do with Waze and its warnings
  19. I'll keep an eye out but when I looked previously it was 75-80 cents on the dollar for used wheels that would need new rubber when I can get new ones for less when I factor in the cost of new rubber.
  20. Motor Trend loves the Miata for the same reason. I actually really have a blast in the car and it definitely has limits that are beyond mine for right now. Just before I bought it I read a review from a guy who had it as his daily driver and a McLaren and he said he had as much fun in the ST as the McLaren but just at a lower speed. Amazingly tail happy front wheel drive cars for the win Edit: The article http://jalopnik.com/the-ford-focus-st-is-fun-even-when-you-have-a-maclaren-1692455162 I'd like to find a suspension upgrade that keeps stock for all for corners but that doesn't appear to exist, I can put Koni Yellows on the rear though which is probably enough to eke out some more cornering speed and cornering traction.
  21. I think I will likely end up with a STi or Focus RS in 2 years if I keep liking the Autocross (I expect I will) but I may just stay in stock classes for a while (the modified/lowered classes look like a lot of work I don't have time/friends with lifts for) and the ST will be competitive for a long time in the stock classes.
  22. I don't live in fucking Tennessee and I have snow present for a significant part of the year. Fuck you Brent (not because I'm particularly upset just because it's fun to say) Race wheels would likely be 17 with oversized 255s to get a better behaving sidewall. OZ Racing wheels are looking sweet but fuck $2k with wheels and TPMS sensors. (I know Jeff will say that's a single wheel) My summers are the stock wheels and tires Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (also would serve well for rainy race days as they are amazing in the wet) Probably XICE for winter Oh and I entirely forgot to mention that the focus ST's destroyed the single GTI that was entered.
  23. There are a lot of tire options in full on race tires. RE-71R are probably what's going to be done but I'd need new wheels for them too and they'd only be for race day so I'd end up with 3 fucking sets of wheels and tires. (Race, summers and winters) I think I'll wait until I see how things improve with the cat back and sway bars before I get race tires (DOT rated race tires).
  24. Nope they changed the rules a bunch. Road tires.
  25. I am not allowed to run R compound in the GS class. I was planning on waiting until next year for new rubber. I am getting more comfortable with my placing as I realized that both people that beat me were experienced, the winner has been running his car for years and had the rear sway bar and better rubber. The next guy is very active in SCCA and races his corvette on the track. I was the first novice.
