What's your budget? etc. etc. etc. etc... If you can't take the time to even attempt to answer the above why the hell should anyone here bother to answer your question? If you don't want to approach this intelligently, go elsewhere.

  5. After owning a mac for about three weeks, this is what I currently do: * Rip CD's to ALAC using MAX (w/paranoia) * Rip Vinyl (TBD--but the ADC is Duet) * Manage Music via iTunes * Playback via iTunes/FrontRow->duet->etc

  16. woke up at noon... got 2 slices at z-pizza (ham and artichoke/tomato basil parmasean)... took pizza to starfucks for caffene... tried to put two coherent thoughts together--failed miserably... went to pool...swam (suppressed thought I was swimming in little kids' piss)...worked on my sunburn... listened to ipod/hornet/5000... to be continued...

  22. Actually 32 bit corresponds to 2^32 which provides a 4Gig address space, but no more. Exactly so. A decent explanation can be found at Coding Horror: Dude, Where's My 4 Gigabytes of RAM? I found a diagram there that should make everything clear as mud:
