  1. Scratch that, meant Midwest region . Good day so far; Memphis and in particular Nova played really well, feeling pretty solid about my final four right now. Lawson's toe doesn't look good, putting UNC in the final might have been a mistake. I didn't realize how severe it apparently is.
  2. Can't imagine how many people Wake fucked over. Good thing I had Louisville taking them out. I'm not doing all that well, but those three upsets in East region boned enough people that I'm only 2 wins behind the leader right now. 13 of my Sweet 16 are still alive, let's hope that doesn't change.
  3. Craig has been using those knobs for a long time. It's not exactly Moth, but the BA styling is decent. Eddie Current in general has always seemed more industrial to me compared to the classic aesthetic of its predecessor.
  4. Keep rockin the shit Al, happy bday .
  5. Happy birfday oh great Smegster .
  6. I'm still doing alright, only bad move I made was trying to pick a cinderella in Mississippi St., had them in the Sweet 16 vs. Uconn. I'm 12 of 16 so far. Got lucky with UCLA over VCU.
  7. Looks like I'll be 6 out of 7 for the first 7 games today. My final four is Louisville, Memphis, UNC, and Nova. Kinda wishing I hadn't ran with Memphis now, that first game was disheartening. Hopefully they can pick it up next round. We'll see what happens...
  8. I dunno dudes... I really fucking want one... Pretty much my end-all, be-all SE solution with a whole lot more power than the Moth. As I was listening to Mike's (Absorbine's) ZD at the IL meet this past weekend, I was thinking to myself "fark, I really wish this amp had speaker posts". I'll be damned, Craig decided to give me/us just that, with plenty of iron to boot .
  9. You rawk Jim. I'll take any color you want to give me, but if I had to choose it would be black/orange followed by black/purple .
  10. Happy birfday Fitz .
  11. Grado Flats.
  12. Thanks much Zephyr . Right now I'm looking at: - Dreadnought - Solid Top - No Cutaway
  13. Looks awesome Ryan; I can't imagine investing in such a nice case if you didn't plan on keeping this pair around for a while .
  14. We're living in an age of Keynesian waste.
  15. Danny B is sexi.
  16. Happy birfday .
  17. Congrats all around: - Pak, it's a badass amplifier. - Mulveling, those Tannoy's are hot.
  18. Thanks much for the advice everyone; the Yamaha's look very good for the money, but next time I visit my local Guitar Center I'll put aside extra time to look for (and audition) the models that were listed in your link Mark. As far as comfort/applying pressure, my left hand pointer and index fingers are already getting pretty good callouses, so really having to put force on the strings is something I've already started getting used to. Might serve me better for the future, who knows.
  19. Been "playing" my friend's guitar every day for the last two weeks, so I think it's fair to say that I'm pretty serious about learning acoustic, especially given that my enthusiasm for saxophone has gradually been dwindling the last half year or so. Anywho, I plan on buying my own guitar this summer, just wondering what brands I should be looking at. Keep in mind this is just a starting point for me, so I'm not looking to spend too much money, say a budget of like $300-400. My friend has a Yamaha; I really have no reference for what a decent guitar is but this one seems alright. Thanks for any/all help, much appreciated.
  20. Happy Birthday Nate .
  21. Considering the lack of details, I think I (and my friend) will be alright.
  22. Well actually, my friend/roommate bought it for me since the law doesn't allow me to do so myself :/.
