Thanks folks. Not popping the question, way too early for that, but it's an important stop enroute to that destination. She's an absolute keeper, of this I am sure.

Made reservations for what I believe is going to be a very very important date tomorrow night with the girlfriend. Also going to get a suit after work for my cousin's wedding Saturday and then going out to eat at my favorite Mexican place with my parents, sister, and grandfather. Life is seriously good right now.

I'm essentially echoing Mike's sentiments here, but you are an all-around great guy Steve and absolutely a friend of mine. I admire your courage and kander. I liked Ryan's point on assumptions; I will entirely admit that I always assume people to be straight and of course this can (and has been) incorrect. It just goes to show, never assume anything. Wish you the best Steve, can't wait to hang out again friend.

Ok we got Ryan, Doug, Marc, Steve, Birgir, Jim, Jeff, and myself at Giordano's. Logical first meal for Chicago is deep dish, so that's what we got going.

Decided to stay at the girlfriend's last night; just arrived this morning, am sitting in Jim's room at the moment.

really this is what i've been doing the last 4 or 5 days, but i somehow have a new girlfriend. probably won't be around as much for a bit and suspect to become a great deal poorer than I already am. worth it though.

just to reaffirm what vicki already said, we aren't here because of how the site looks (though i think it's fair to say VBulletin >>>>>>>> Huddler). we are here for content and community, both of which HF has lacked considerably for some time. make sure you have the right intentions to being with, otherwise there is little point in wasting our time or yours by trying to adapt over here.

for what it's worth (and for the sake of clarity) the TTVJ 307A is still one of the top 3 best amps I've ever heard - imo of course. did i like the looks of it? not that much. but once i heard it that really didn't matter because it sounded fucking amazing, even with GS1K which is a rather maligned headphone in general. the only reason i judged the looks of this new offering is simply because i have no other standard by which i can judge it at the moment. and it's not thaat bad. just sort of "meh" for something that costs 10 grand. always excited for todd though, as far as vendors go i have considerable respect for him and hope the amp does as well as possible upon release. and yeah x2 with ryan @ CJ, the best i can hope for is some time with JH audio but besides that, not much time to spare.
