I'm sort of having the opposite issue of what Raffy is experiencing - I cannot access the mobile view/theme on my phone at all. I click on the mobile link at the bottom of the page and it simply refreshes with the standard theme still in place. Logging out and back in, resetting cookies, cache, and history, etc. didn't correct this. Beyond that, the new look is pretty slick and I like it quite a bit.

Sorry for your family's loss Larry. Pretty great last 24 hours myself. Yesterday Allison and I took the train downtown and went to lunch at a nice sushi cafe with a new friend of mine and his girlfriend. It was kinda hot outside but my friend seemed to want to risk sitting out in the sun, and luckily we found a table in the shade with a nice breeze. I guess eating sushi outside isn't so bad if you get lucky. Best maki roll of the meal was probably a play on lox and bagels, simply called "bagel." They need to get more creative with the naming methinks. After lunch, we walked to Water Tower Place and met my old roommate who was hanging out there for a few hours while his fiancee worked. We browsed around some stores (mostly Allison browsed and we followed aimlessly) and eventually headed back to his fiancee's apartment. The place was like 60 F inside so we relaxed a bit and drank a little beer, then went out to a few bars in Wicker Park. The first place had a huge list of tequila, some interesting cocktails, and really good guacamole. The second bar had a cool beer garden with two outdoor sections, one of which was covered with a glass roof. The place had a nice mellow vibe, but I wish we'd have stayed at the tequila lounge . Got back in to our friend's apartment at 2 a.m., decided not to cab back to Oak Park and spent the night there. I was beyond tired and feel like an old man at the bars sometimes. Woke up this morning at like 9, came back to Oak Park and got breakfast at Blue Max Cafe, this really nice restaurant that was set up inside a rather large house. I'm told they have great coffee but I don't drink the stuff. Afterwards the four of us went to Marion Street Cheese Market so my friend could buy some beer (he decided on some Founders Blushing Monk, hope I can try it). We then chilled at my apartment and eventually went and saw Horrible Bosses in the afternoon. It is quite a bit better than I expected and I'd recommend it. So yeah, nothing too extraordinary but a great weekend with my friends made even better since I haven't seen them in quite a while.

The Bruery Cuir Anniversary Old Ale. Damn this is so much better than Coton was.

I hope to join Al and Jim with a wine fridge purchase sometime next month. Seriously. I am envy.

I jealous.

Damn Guillame, glad to hear you're okay. Really sorry about the accident.

Yeah it's a massive difference. Mike G mixed me one at Chiliquifi and I was pretty stunned. Then tipsy. Great success!

Nope, 2 KBS for 1 Abacus. Pretty even swap dollar for dollar. I successfully resisted opening it. I feel like you could dangerously tempt me again though Raffy should we have a drink-off .
-
Haha, damn bro you're making me think about digging into my reserves for one as well. Edit - I'm also stupidly considering popping my 2nd Firestone Walker Abacus that I traded two of my KBS stock for.

Just cracked one of my remaining Founders Imperial Stouts that's been sitting for 6 months. Aroma has really become amazing on this one, but the taste hasn't mellowed out yet with a lot of roasted bitterness and dark chocolate. Overall it doesn't seem quite as hot as I remember, which is definitely a good thing. Cheers everyone, it's Friday.

Happy birfday fellow youngin'!

Come up to Oak Park and I'll give you one of my extras, good sir. Nice grab Ric .

Yay Shelly! The proof is in the pudding that you are making a difference. Last night I attended my first networking event for the Chicagoland chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. It was a great time and I for sure made a few important connections for the future, including meeting a senior manager at accenture. He's part of the same division I'll be working in, so that was very good for me to meet him.

Lol. At least you got him out of the office.

Haven't quite "gotten" Meshuggah yet. I have Catch 33 and their newer live album but neither have appealed to me so far. Should I be checking out any of their other material? I want to like them, I really do.

Well put Steve. Gary, I'm super excited to see you taking it a step further. Something tells me I'll have trouble staying away from your engraving capabilities. Wishing you the best of luck with the sole proprietorship, my friend.

Didnt realize you weren't on here previously, welcome Todd! It's awesome to see the apex lineup expanding.

Moving on down the line. The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I

The Dismemberment Plan - Change Really liking these guys after hearing them for the first time live this weekend at Pitchfork. After a 10 year hiatus I think it's time they record something new.

Looks like a solid get-together. Which guy is Hugo, just out of curiosity? I instantly recognized your rig without reading the OP to learn that you had attended .

Finishing off the last bottle of the Boulevard Sixth Glass 4-pack I bought back in late April. I'm glad I like styles that can sit for a while.

Been waiting for these to get distributed here for months.
