Don't know if this will help, Nate or Stretch, but every year Value Electronics in New York conducts (to my knowledge) the most in-depth comparison between all the big brands' top sets. Apparently they get some of the most-renowned calibrators in the business involved and spend days/weeks getting analysis of each model. These were the 2016 results - I'd guess they'll be doing the 2017 comparison in the next 2-3 months. I wonder if LG is still king, I haven't paid enough attention to know whether or not other brands are putting effort into OLED like they have.

Damn it! It was a great game 7 and Ottawa showcased resiliency yet again, but the general pattern of Pittsburgh taking the leads made the ending predictable. Sucky ending for Gibson especially, who made some big time stops in P3 and OT1. This should be a fun Stanley Cup Final and I don't think I can make a prediction beyond assuming this series goes 6 or 7 games. Will Rinne show up like he has all postseason? How well do the Pens handle Nashville's aggressive D?

'Interesting' as in - wouldn't it be interesting to see the Warriors go up 3-1 in the series and then the Cavs storm back and take the title?

Jameson = Irish whiskey, not scotch. If you want to stick with Irish, Redbreast 21 year is absolutely fantastic and right at $300. If single malt, Macallan almost always does the trick. Rare Cask or 18 year would probably suffice in your price range.
