^^ What he said, there's only one way to plug the cords in on the BHSE, Shelly. There is also a key (and matching slot) on each connector receptacle pair so you can't get it wrong unless you apply serious anger and break something.

At that dealer this'd be my choice - http://www.koonsfallschurchford.com/new/Ford/2016-Ford-Focus+ST-Washington-DC-d2f73e530a0e0a1704ec476af36facdc.htm And yes, for $20k that'd certainly be enough to put mind at ease vs. the RS. Shame that they're bending you over for the additional $5k but it'll probably be a year at least before they adjust production and the prices come down. Or they'll be content with the #'s they're seeing and the prices won't move much.

What are they asking for the RS? Ford says it's in the mid to upper 30's (at least in my neck of the woods) and for that type of difference (~20%) I'd just get what you really want.

Thanks again everyone. Had a great weekend of birthday-related activities. Back to the real world tomorrow.

Brent, Ouch man, sucks about the crash but glad to hear that everyone is mostly ok. Do your kid a favor and set the 305 to pause when stopped. https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?9354-Timer-auto-pause-when-stopped

Should be fixed now.

I have to be honest, Chris, I can't imagine being as tall as you and putting kids in the backseat of a Golf/GTI platform car. My GTI is already starting to feel too small. Basically, when I comfortable in the front seat I'm constantly getting kicked in the back by the 4yr old. And there's not much room for stuff either. And no way you're getting 3 kids seats in the back of a Golf either. I've got two in mine and there's maybe a 10" gap between the seats. Given that one of yours will be an infant seat the situation would be even worse. Don't get me wrong, the GTI is fun to drive. But lately it's been aggravating an old hip injury - the side bolster pushes on a painful spot on my left leg - and I'm giving serious thought to replacing it. It's also (even with full warranty coverage) cost me more to maintain in 18 months than the Camry did in 6 years. A good friend has a Focus ST and loves it, also has two kids and it's just bigger enough from what I can see so maybe the RS would be the perfect family hoon mobile.

Much like the Apple watch I feel like we're in the infancy of this type of tech and that there's going to be a lot of churn, updates, mid-cycle refreshes, flops, etc. as the kinks get worked out. So after I tried a couple of the more expensive trackers (Fitbit Surge and Garmin Forerunner 235) I backpedaled and went with the much cheaper and simpler Charge HR. It's battery life is good for me (at least 5 days) although not to great for my wife (more like Brent's 3 days) and my hope is that it'll last a year - basically until something much better comes along and convinces me that spending more than ~$100 is worth it.

Aw frack, missed this too. Happy belated, Dan.

That's been on the bucket list for a while. It'll happen, someday. I really want to take their winter driving school.

Sorry to be late on this, Happy Birthday Steve!

Bah, the sale appears to be over or at least for me is not showing any discount.

^^ Likewise. A very happy birthday to you, Jeff.

I'm not nearly the beast you are, Mike. I'm getting soft and like dragging things efficiently rather than carrying them.

I should have qualified, there's no way that I'm buying a bag that doesn't have wheels. At least one big trip this year is going to involve kids and I'll be doing enough of a Sherpa impression during that without a duffel bag.
