  1. Glad you found it Shelly and great idea for the future, Jeff.
  2. RIP to a bunch of greats but particularly Chu, who as my tall friend correctly predicted was largely responsible for the DIY train wreck that I was for the better part of 10 years.
  3. Try to sync with it to get a general idea of where it might be. You should be able to narrow it down a bit doing that.
  4. Happy Birthday, Larry!
  5. That is impressive.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. My bet is you'll be fine. Probably something as stupid as a single hose clamp, fitting or something along those lines. Looks great, that's for damn sure.
  8. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Tachy+Goes+To+Coventry And nicely dont on the car, Chris. While I generally don't like white cars, that thing looks sweet. I hope delivery goes according to plan.
  9. Beautiful, Doug. [edit]Evidently I like this DAC so much I forgot I'd replied already. But I do dig the new business model.
  10. Chris, Speed is regulated by your right foot and there's no appreciable difference between the RS and ST their ability to rapidly proceed beyond the posted limit if that's what your foot tells it to do. I'd argue the RS might be the safer choice, actually, since the AWD will be far more able to put power down (feeding via 4 wheels) than the ST. That's the talk that I'd have with her if it were me.
  11. Very nice, Doug.
  12. This kills me.
  13. ^^ What he said, there's only one way to plug the cords in on the BHSE, Shelly. There is also a key (and matching slot) on each connector receptacle pair so you can't get it wrong unless you apply serious anger and break something.
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. At that dealer this'd be my choice - http://www.koonsfallschurchford.com/new/Ford/2016-Ford-Focus+ST-Washington-DC-d2f73e530a0e0a1704ec476af36facdc.htm And yes, for $20k that'd certainly be enough to put mind at ease vs. the RS. Shame that they're bending you over for the additional $5k but it'll probably be a year at least before they adjust production and the prices come down. Or they'll be content with the #'s they're seeing and the prices won't move much.
  16. What are they asking for the RS? Ford says it's in the mid to upper 30's (at least in my neck of the woods) and for that type of difference (~20%) I'd just get what you really want.
  17. Thanks again everyone. Had a great weekend of birthday-related activities. Back to the real world tomorrow.
  18. Brent, Ouch man, sucks about the crash but glad to hear that everyone is mostly ok. Do your kid a favor and set the 305 to pause when stopped. https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?9354-Timer-auto-pause-when-stopped
  19. Should be fixed now.
  20. I have to be honest, Chris, I can't imagine being as tall as you and putting kids in the backseat of a Golf/GTI platform car. My GTI is already starting to feel too small. Basically, when I comfortable in the front seat I'm constantly getting kicked in the back by the 4yr old. And there's not much room for stuff either. And no way you're getting 3 kids seats in the back of a Golf either. I've got two in mine and there's maybe a 10" gap between the seats. Given that one of yours will be an infant seat the situation would be even worse. Don't get me wrong, the GTI is fun to drive. But lately it's been aggravating an old hip injury - the side bolster pushes on a painful spot on my left leg - and I'm giving serious thought to replacing it. It's also (even with full warranty coverage) cost me more to maintain in 18 months than the Camry did in 6 years. A good friend has a Focus ST and loves it, also has two kids and it's just bigger enough from what I can see so maybe the RS would be the perfect family hoon mobile.
  21. Thanks everyone. The day started and finished well, the middle was work so not much to do about that. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
  22. Happy birthday!
  23. What's the capacity of that thing (X, Y, Z)?
  24. /thread The tall man wins.
  25. They lost me at Bybee.
