Shit, didn't realize she had a new solo album out so thanks for posting this. She may qualify as one of the best things to come out of Canuckistan.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
Certainly possible. Trouble is that the nearest Apple store is an hour away, without traffic. I'll try one of the battery health apps and see what the results are. Jacob nailed it. Design capacity of the battery should be 2900mAh, it's down to just 700mAh - yikes. Given that this phone has had some other issues like the vibration motor going I don't think replacing the battery is worth it (throwing good $ at bad). I think I'll chalk this up as the rare iPhone lemon and quit my bitching and move on. A replacement is in the works that'll take care of things in the not-too-distant future and I'll figure something out for my upcoming trip.

Fucking Apple. 11.1.2. is a turd and has reinvoked battery jeopardy. Got in the car tonight to drive home, kids wanted to listen to a book, battery was at 50-something percent when we got in the car. Within one minute I got the less than 20% battery life remaining message.

and now for something completely different part 3
The screws can be dealt with, you just counter sink them so they sit flush (since you already drilled the holes) or use a button head screw to keep the profile as low as possible.

The silver XLR would also be a nice option and require significantly less work. To rear mount the socket, given how thick the panel is, you'd have to recess the body of the socket into the panel which is no trivial exercise - unless you're Kerry and have a cnc router in your closet.

Elegant work, but if I may, that chassis begs for the XLR socket to be mounted behind the front panel to maintain the otherwise clean aesthetic. I'd also recommend removing the locking tab, I never had much use for them, unless it's catastrophic to unplug something while the amp is on.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
I don't think it matters whether or not there's anything on it from a storage perspective. It's got to be a system resource flaw or something like that (within the OS) because even with nothing running on my phone it would drain at 20-30% an hour. It was like all the processing power was stuck on max even though it wasn't asked to do anything.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
I wouldn't do anything other than a full wipe/fresh install with iOS 11.X.
- And now what did you do TODAY?
-
Ipod Touch / Iphone
The phone is definitely running better after a fresh install but battery life is still worse than it was with 10.3 (or whatever the last version was). So we'll count this as a small victory for now.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
I don't think my phone has been hacked but every version of iOS 11 has made it substantially worse. Final straw may have been 11.1.1 which rendered the battery life as catastrophically bad with a side of instability thrown in for good measure. Example #1: went out for a MTB ride this weekend. Started the ride w/ 55% battery, rode for about 35 minutes and had been tracking the ride via Strava. Stopped to take a picture, noted that the battery had dropped to the mid 40's which is a fast drop rate, but not the worst I'd seen lately. Snapped one pic, decided to take another at which point the phone shut off. Like all the way off. Wouldn't reboot, restart, etc. Got pissed, chucked it back in the bag, finished the ride. Got home, phone tried to power on and told me that it had 0% battery (just flashed the battery/plug-me-in icon on the screen). Plugged in the phone, booted up with 4% battery. So basically using the GPS and one app nuke 50+% of the battery in a little over a half hour. I'm surprised it didn't catch fire. Example #2: Just to show Ian how bad this was at work today I charged the phone to 100% (it dropped 20% on the way to work just listening to podcasts) and then proceeded to lightly use the phone for approximately 40 minutes, mostly just browsing the web and sending a couple text messages. It dropped 30% during those 40 minutes. So tonight I'm giving it one last go, wiping the phone and doing a hard restore of 11.1.1 through iTunes which is allegedly the most complete flushing you can do of the phone's OS. Here's to hoping.

Death By Carbs - Bread and Dough Making
It's definitely the best corn bread I've ever made. I'm very much looking forward to more later tonight. Here's the recipe used - http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alexandra-guarnaschelli/cast-iron-skillet-corn-bread-recipe-2012669

And I finally made some cast-iron-skillet cornbread. It at least looks good, actual taste testing to commence shortly with the white bean chicken chili that Maura made.

What are you EATING right now?
First did some cooking, then eating. Step 1: Fry bacon. Step 2: Make home fries in bacon fat. Step 3: Combine with eggs. Top with cheese, eat.

Technical Assistance/Advice Thread
Why not just regulate the line voltage before the amp? https://www.amazon.com/APC-LE1200-Automatic-Voltage-Regulator/dp/B00009RA60 Not endorsing that particular solution, just saying that there are cheap options that might be worth exploring.
