They certainly offered the RK50 as an upgrade - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0362/2465/files/MaxBalancedAmpManual.pdf?3915 - so it's entirely possible that it had one in it.

Big congrats to your family and your son, Mike.
-
A very happy birthday to you, Al!
-
Looking forward to watching it tonight.

Second the advice on the return, that goose looks pretty cooked.
-
Depending on just how complicated a project you want to make this you could take a look at something like the AMB σ11.

I'm confused as to why you think you need a DC to DC convertor? Why wouldn't you just build a small regulated DC power supply that runs off an AC wall wart and have it's output match the voltage that was previously supplied by the batteries?

The Sounds - dying to say this to you

The first two episodes have been good. Not great, but good. I think it's got some potential and the casting choices/decisions are far better this year than last. I wish they had a stronger third but maybe he'll grow into the roll through this season.

Update - power just came back on.
-
Power went out about ninety minutes ago. Generator is up and running but doesn't power the oven... So we persevered and finished cooking the lasagna on the grill.
-
It's been snowing sideways for a while now. It's blowing hard enough that there's a pretty consistent howl. Just had our first power flicker so I'm crossing fingers and toes that it wasn't a sign of what's to come.

We've got probably 6" so far although it'll be impossible to tell moving forward now that the wind has picked up. The commute home around 1pm was entertaining with ~500' visibility at the best of times and near zero for quite a bit.
-
They're calling for 18-24" here although that will be seriously tough to judge given the wind that is supposed to come along with. 20-30mph with gusts over 50. Yikes. Could be a rugged 24hrs but I'll be gassing the generator tomorrow morning and planning to have enough in reserve to make it through the worst of it. It a kick in the pants though as we'd just lost all of the snow cover on the yard and things were starting to thaw some.

Nice, Dan. My butt took around 6hrs to cook yesterday.

Thanks everyone, it was a great day. It happened to coincide with the company ski so no work and all play make Nate something something....

Happy Birthday!

@skullguise - haven't been online much but congrats to Andrew and you and your wife. Can't imagine the weight lifted as a result, seriously.

Nope, just garden variety caps in my DIY KGSS.

The buy it now price on the KGSS is certainly less than I'd sell mine for. Seems like a bargain, honestly.
