  1. Maura didn't finish all of her braised short ribs last night so I preserved some of the fries that came with my burger. Breakfast was good.
  2. We got around 4" overnight, then a bunch of sleet/rain, then a bit more snow before it left town. Now it's back below freezing and cleanup is basically impossible. Here's to hoping that it's warm enough tomorrow to soften things up to clear some of the driveway.
  3. It just started snowing here. We're on tap to get a wintery mix overnight which is a nice way of saying it'll likely be absolute shit tomorrow morning.
  4. Lily and I made German Chocolate Cake today.
  5. RIP and thanks for sharing all the stories, Stan. 95 ain't such a bad run.
  6. Following many tips today (at least #'s 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, and always #10). Bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalepenos.
  7. Tried a new quiche recipe last night, spinach and bacon with swiss. It was quite good according to 3/4 family members. Andrew is not a fan of eggs so unsurprisingly he was not a huge fan and just picked out the bacon. Smart kid.
  8. Happy Birthday, Chris!
  9. Happy Birthday! Ignore the incorrect tag, the baker was drunk.
  10. I don't even want to know what they're going to charge for that.
  11. Sorry, Brent. RIP Alex.
  12. This!
  13. Are the plugs/jacks available that Senn uses on the HD800? EDIT: seems like they might be. https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-repair-connector-Sennheiser-Headphones/dp/B074SK4KYN
  14. At least I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. When I made the purchase back in 2012 I had done the research to know that the shock (and fork) were an issue in terms of upgrades and maintenance but the price was too good to pass up at the time (40% off). I'll be making a decision based from a different perspective this time, since I now have a riding buddy who's a former shop mechanic and can help (and teach) as long as stuff uses standard tooling and non-proprietary parts.
  15. It's possible, but really impractical to get someone to do it. The cheapest way is to send it back to Fox for refurbishment as their are multiple specialized tools required to do the job (see link Brent posted previously) and in the end to bring the bike back to life would take the better part, if not more than, a grand which seems like a horrible investment in what's essentially 10yr old bike tech. Trail bikes have come leaps and bounds in just the last few years, not to mention the last 10.
  16. Very nice, Ken. I'm currently making do by adding air to my suspension every week or two. The fork doesn't seem to take much, if any, the rear definitely seems to be bleeding some. The possible replacement remains a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Seriously, WTF, I must not have logged in at all Saturday. UNACCEPTABLE. Happy Birthday!
  19. It's not and not designed or intended to be so. If you find that's not for you, that's ok. If you decide to stick around I'd recommend growing some thicker skin and taking stock of where you are. If you want audio advice this probably isn't the place to look. Just being honest.
  20. Happy Birthday Iain!
  21. Happy Birthday!!
  22. Happy Birthday, Peter!
  23. You cooked??!?! What kind of dowdy kitchen man are you?
  24. I'm afraid of the consequences of fucking it up. Seriously. That and I showed the recipe to Maura and she just looked at me.
