Just be aware that the higher you spec the amperage the more overshoot you're going to get. Most likely the amp is equipped to deal with this to a certain degree but I wouldn't use 1.5A wallwart in a situation that spec'd a third of an amp, odds are pulling that little bit of current the 1.5A PS is going to run pretty high output voltages, which could be a bad thing. You shouldn't have any issue finding a 12V/.5A wallwart at Mouser or Digikey, if you do let me know and I'll poke around and see what I can find for you.

I think ATI might be a closer match than anything Par-Metals could produce. or None of the rack mounted Par cases that I've seen have integral heat sinks, which I'm guessing you'll need for the build, if not something like this might work (click for link to ebay auction).

Most of the 800 series Wadia players had digital inputs as an option so if you're considering used that could be an option.

IIRC the delay is variable based on what headphones you have plugged in (their impedance plays a role) so you may find that it's longer or shorter depending on what you're using. As long as it's eventually closing and staying closed it's probably working just fine.

I'd second this advice, I had an issue with the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter on my Etys and they replaced it out of warranty without question or payment for even shipping. While they may not repair your IEMs for free the phone call won't cost you anything and you never know till you ask. And as far as I'm concerned the '3' is Vaporware until proven otherwise.
