    My love for Seinfeld

Ditto, the show had moments of "teh funny" for me but got really tired, pretty fast.
  3. Just be aware that the higher you spec the amperage the more overshoot you're going to get. Most likely the amp is equipped to deal with this to a certain degree but I wouldn't use 1.5A wallwart in a situation that spec'd a third of an amp, odds are pulling that little bit of current the 1.5A PS is going to run pretty high output voltages, which could be a bad thing. You shouldn't have any issue finding a 12V/.5A wallwart at Mouser or Digikey, if you do let me know and I'll poke around and see what I can find for you.
  4. I think ATI might be a closer match than anything Par-Metals could produce. or None of the rack mounted Par cases that I've seen have integral heat sinks, which I'm guessing you'll need for the build, if not something like this might work (click for link to ebay auction).

    Heroes

Sorry, the twins are from the Dominican, I hate the Dominican twins, my bad.
  6. I was thinking more along the lines of a 2-channel beta22?
  7. Which ironically enough you can do, you just have to guess you way into finding the button that made perfect sense to Chu. You'll notice that next to the thread title there's a little button that looks like this: , how you're supposed to know that this is for searching a thread without a hover clue is beyond me. I took a chance based on other visual evidence on the site and guessed correctly. I'd also "guess" that most people are like my friend JB and get so frustrated they don't try. I mean it's cool and all that Chu wrote the software but holy hell it's cumbersome coming from a mainstream forum.
  8. I read that and I think it's a smart move, the other forums drew such little participation that it just didn't make sense. I do think that he should have a MISC forum for stuff outside of DIY and the Maketplace. But I have to admit, the DIY Forum there is the only one that I ever look at, and pretty infrequently these days.
  9. Says the guy with a different name at Head-Fi... Oh teh irony!
  10. Holy shit you kill me when you do that. I'm crying I'm laughing so hard right now.

    Heroes

Agree, the Peter story line has traction (plus bonus points for girl w/ accent, yay!) as does Claire's but I swear if I see the stupid Mexican twins use/unuse their powers again to get out of a jamb I'm going to shut it off. And Hiro is a mixed bag right now, if they'd let him move on from yet another repetitive story line (sark is good, sark is a drunk idiot, rinse, repeat) I may be on board but so far I'm not buying it. Did I mention that I hate the Mexican twins yet? I hate the twins. And Reks, they had ample time to realize that the show was going to have a second season. I mean it was a hit from the get go, so they knew what they needed to do for at least 6 months.

    Heroes

Back on topic, this week's heroes blew. :'( Could they have done any less with an hour? I mean it's a little early to be regurgitating material, isn't it?
  13. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I can't believe I forgot that one... Yeah, that'd probably do it too.
  14. If the Diablo is the penultimate (second best) what exactly is more over the top than that tank of a chassis?
  15. Are you watching the new series? I'll be catching the first ep tomorrow night, can't f'ing wait!
  16. Your daydreams are so far out of my league that I've got nothing to offer other than a little perspective. Digital Questions: How much do you think you'd gain over the Exemplar Modded Denon to justify what would probably be a huge increase in cost? Is that fractional gain worth it to you? Do you really feel like your source is the weak link? Vinyl Questions: Do you enjoy vinyl? As a medium is just isn't for everyone, it's fussy, can be a serious pain to setup and availability of albums is pretty variable. For me it's mostly a lazy thing, when I sit down and listen I want to be able to a) jump around when I want without having to jump up and be able to listen to more than 4 tracks before having to get back up and flip the black disc thingy. One other can of gas to throw on the fire - have you given any thought to going balanced?
  17. Most of the 800 series Wadia players had digital inputs as an option so if you're considering used that could be an option.
  18. IIRC the delay is variable based on what headphones you have plugged in (their impedance plays a role) so you may find that it's longer or shorter depending on what you're using. As long as it's eventually closing and staying closed it's probably working just fine.
  19. Let me know if you're having trouble Dan, my cable supplies order came in Friday so I've got enough stuff to make a quickie that would help you raise some more funds. The most important questions is: how's your amp doing?

    Westone 3

I'd second this advice, I had an issue with the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter on my Etys and they replaced it out of warranty without question or payment for even shipping. While they may not repair your IEMs for free the phone call won't cost you anything and you never know till you ask. And as far as I'm concerned the '3' is Vaporware until proven otherwise. Westone has a lot of ground to make up after the mess they created taking pre-orders 8 months in advance of delivering a product, heck they still don't have a confirmed shipping date.
  21. You should ask drp about his, word on the street is that he's got a new stat amp coming in and probably won't need the xformer any more for the HE60s.
  22. No, he sold the esoteric. If he got the Northstar he'd still need a transport.
  23. There's a Wadia25 on Agon right now, come on, take the plunge!
  24. Ouch, Jay might be fanatical in his love the K340s but he's no Patrick.
