  1. Nah, we're just tired and sleepy right now.
  2. Shut up you!
  3. Remote stepper FTW!
  4. I'm pretty natejean's cables can handle a couple of 1/2M cables without too much trouble. And somehow they'll cost less than the $80 that KAB wants for cables with the Pro-fi connectors.
  5. I've gotten the following error twice already this afternoon... Template Parse Error! It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator. You can also try refreshing this page.

I may have already been talking to Mike about something else and mentioned that he should have a chat with you. So now I can waste both of your times.

Jack, you should just ask Mike about them. He's not the kind of guy who's going to bullshit you just to make a sale.

I'd be curious to hear more about their spec since the stated frequency response is 50Hz ? 18K. That's a little rolled off in the high end (assuming we're talking -3db specs) but pretty decent low end for a single 8" driver.
  9. I make all of my headphone cables 10' long and always keep a 10' extension handy. Provided that the cable used is reasonably flexible a little extra length is rarely an issue.
  10. Kinda?
  11. They seem to fit my head fine as well. I get a uniform seal around my ear and no amount of poking or proding at the cups makes anything any better.
  12. They're cheaper than the CTFAs so what do you have to lose?
  13. I freely admit that I do not have the time or patience to try and listen for the differences in connectors. That's beyond my personal threshold of madness.
  14. I guess I'm confused as to how the remote soundcard would be helpful unless you're setting up playlists and then going into the other room. Or would you use a laptop to take over the host computer (or something like that) so that the lappy was serving the same function as the Squeezebox? To me the whole point of the SB is to get me away from the host yet still allow me to easily browse the file library.
  15. As far as cable-mount RCA's go, Pro-fi's are the ticket for me. Chassis mount I'm with Pars, CTFA or I use the "Tiffany Style" from Partsconnexion.com.
  16. I learned it by watching you, all right?
  17. Ahh, I never use the web interface. I'm always just at the SB end and never on the host computer.
  18. The mental imagery associated with this was not pleasant. Think America Pie and you'll be near the gutter my mind was in...
  19. I treat slimserver much like I treat the Zune software. It's a necessary means to an end. Once you get your library loaded (which can be a bit of a pain) there's just no beating the Squeezebox interface. I haven't experience problems with speed or bugginess really, what exactly was happening?
  20. I've had good luck with the ones from Parts Express. I used the lesser expensive type on my first beta22 but will be using the big dogs on my second, balanced beta. Important note: they're all gold, you're just seeing the reflection of the black chassis in this picture.
  21. What you should really be asking yourself is how can a device that can run for 400hrs be putting out any sort of useful output current.
  22. Ahh I see now, the ASP and ASX2 modules are a bit different in the way they are setup.
  23. Hmmm, that's interesting since they generally offer a dedicated balanced version of the modules. More research required but I wonder if the amp is really only taking half the balanced signal and still operating essentially as a single ended amp? Of the other way around when you use the single ended inputs...
  24. Todd, am I seeing correctly that the D-sonic allows both balanced and single-ended inputs?
