I actually think that he likes aerius less if it makes you feel any better. Well, based on my conversations with jude I'd say you're more than a little bit wrong about that statement. It has way less to do with head-case being competition and more about not being comfortable with some of the parties involved. And even more to do with the information that people have access to in threads here (think RSA) and how that stirs shit up over there. Me, I don't blame him for not liking links to this site. It only causes him grief and in now way benefits Head-fi.

I'm pretty sure that's the cost equation right there, but confirmation would be good. And I think it's a great idea. I'd probably cover it as the shipper for high-dollar items. I can't imagine trying to explain high-dollar custom electronics to a claims official.

I've got friends in low places? Seriously though, it just sort of happened and I wasn't even really looking at the time but when they became available I snapped them up. Actually, there was a pair on Audiogon the week before Xmas as well but they're gone now. Thanks for the comments Ryan, I've been exploring cabinet options and haven't made a final decision yet. Whatever it is I'll be building it so I can always change it if I'm not satisfied with the results.

I was under the impression that most phono stages had pretty poor SNR due to the extremely high gain required, have I been misled? Most solid state ones that I've seen aren't above 80 and my bugle isn't rated much better than the TTVJMH.
