  1. Biscuit change is real. Here we've had a winter that never arrived. We have had a little snow, and some cold temps, but it's 1MAR and most of the animals think that spring is here. The birds are already back and with rain last week there's zero snow cover. I don't know that the ground ever properly froze this year. It will be interesting to see how bad the insects are this year after such a mild winter. Regarding coronavirus and travel, I've had to fly three times in the last 6 weeks and there have been plenty of folks with masks on and CDC announcements in the airports. It all seems a bit much, really. Yes, it has a higher mortality rate than the standard flu and given the prolonged incubation containment is complicated. I suppose we'll see how it spreads around the globe since that is all but inevitable and having just read Stephen King's, The Stand, maybe I'm desensitized to the idea of the flu as an apocalypse?
  2. I'm still an Old BIsbee Roasters guy. They've never let me down and are on the more affordable side of small batch from my experience. They tend toward the darker side of roasting but have gotten a lot better about that than they used to be. I'd suggest their sampler to see how their tasting notes compare to how you taste coffee.
  3. I'm pretty sure that these were available back in the day so someone must have them. I'll see if I can dig out an old external drive and search for it since I used to download stuff like this and save it but not sure I ever bothered with the Melos stuff. I'd wager @spritzer or @kevin gilmore are the most likely to have it at the ready. Also wondered if you'd seen this -
  4. Saw last night that this had dropped and almost started but I'm trying to get going on The Witcher so I'll save Carbon for the next inevitable work trip. Although, now that I think about it, that series might make for some awkward in-flight entertainment...
  5. Happy Birthday, Naaman!
  6. First rule of providing recommendations for audio gear for family - keep it SIMPLE. That said, I've been searching for a non-amplified, nice, user-friendly music server for what feels like years. Still haven't found anything that I like that doesn't cost north of $2k which just isn't within reach.
  7. I see what you did there, Mr. Lawyer.
  8. On assumes that they used Urban Dictionary before choosing their company name? On another front, headphones like these make me miss Tyll all the more.
  9. Jacob, I might be interested in the first gen Pro as a workout accessory (to run Zwift for my trainer) depending on what you're looking to get for it. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you're looking to offload it.
  10. Happy Birthday, Dan!
  11. Happy birthday, Al!
  12. Happy Birthday, Colin! Here's to hoping the doors on the X are still working properly and that you at least keep the leather side down while you slide.
  13. A very happy birthday to you, Steve!
  14. Happy Birthday, Ed!
  15. Happy birthday, Jeff!
  16. Muchas gracias, Todd.
  17. Always wanted to build one of those, still think about it from time to but I've got too much stuff as it is. Maybe if I find a second audio room or something...
  18. Seriously, I may never get in a helicopter again.
  19. Happy Birthday, Mike !
  20. Made scones to start the week off right.
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Happy Birthday, Gman! Here's to a day filled with summer fruit and bacon!
  23. It was nearly 70 both days this weekend, the kids were running around in shorts, people went to the beach. It snowed today. This climate is seriously fooked.
  24. Happy Birthday!
  25. I've the Baratza Virtuoso and I think I've been using it damn near daily for the last six+ years without a hiccup. I never thought I'd appreciate a grinder, but I do.
