  1. What are the required specifications for the KGSS trafo again? I was going to contact a trafo-man'f today anyway regarding a custom transformer so I might as well ask them about this project as well. Colin mentioned the following: 100VA R-core transformer with 300v-0-300v at 80mA,0-6.3v at 2A, 0-18v*2 at 1.2A, and 0-12.6v at 1A.
  2. Sorry they don't make KEF shoes.
  3. We are shoe twins, I love my Keen shoes/sandals/whachamacallits as well.
  4. PFK FTW Of course jena-anything would be at the head of the list followed by most of the ALO re-cabled stuff.
  5. Nice, very similar to the Skechers that I'm currently wearing. I got them on closeout for $30, I'm a cheap bastard when it comes to shoes. I'm still pissed that Doc stopped making my favorite shoe, the model 9729. I've had two pairs of those, each of which lasted 4 years or so.
  6. They need a couple more years of pronounced hype to reach Darth levels. They do however hold the distinction of being the crappiest, most expensive stock headphone though.
  7. I cringed when I heard that you'd bought them. From brief experience my conclusion is that they are the most over-priced, over-hyped headphones out there.
  8. Send Nate parts, Nate like parts.
  9. I don't see this happening any time soon. I haven't even managed to get the 950s working off the SRD7 yet. I believe we're talking on the order of 600V or so.
  10. Friggen lawyers, never wanna get their hands dirty. And I was talking about looking for whatever board files are out there, new, old, yet to be done. Doesn't matter a bit to me. If all that's available are shitty old board files then lets re-do them. I may be an ass but I don't generally do things half-assed. I'm a whole ass, damnit.
  11. So, step one is to track down the board files and specs for the amp and PS pcbs and I can get quotes. Are the old files in the PD somewhere?
  12. I think they'd get a lot more customers if they offered a lower plan upfront. Heck, I'd think about it if it still offered the web access.
  13. I failed that mantra ages ago.
  14. I guess I just didn't find that one. I looked at other model numbers but couldn't find one that had the all-important digital output.
  15. I looked for one a short while back and couldn't find anything. I think they went out of production 2 to 3 years ago now and haven't been on Ebay for a while.
  16. I have not had good luck at all w/ cheap transports so unless your goal is cheap sound and to throw away $$$ I'd advise against it.
  17. Nice, Steve. I almost built one of those for my/your Bugle. Me, I just bought a few more tubes. My favorite output tube for the Menace appears to becoming more rare and I'd like to get them while they're still reasonable. Not to mention that I had a brand new one go bad this weekend.
  18. Pffft, the measly 555' tall monument would barely stretch half way. The yard, front to back is ~1000'. Oh hell yes - the good old '72 John Deere. Yup, sticks it is. And Dusty, I live in a rural area but not that rural.
  19. 1. Thinking about it. 2. Thankfully I don't mow it all, all the time. You can see the dividing line in that picture. I shave about an acre off when I don't do the lower 40. 3. I'd love to, Wife says no. 4. See #3. 5. Profit.
  20. Not what I did today, but I didn't want to post about mowing again without providing better visual evidence of the yard. So, Friday, I left work early to deal with the beast. We have an irrigation system so it has to be mowed once a week, all summer.

Agree, does nothing for me. Situationally dependent, she can be rather sexy when she wants to be. Again, depends. I never have, no will I ever, understand the SJP phenomenon.
  22. Very sorry to hear that George.
  23. See, now there were at least three lines within the Arai family when I bought my last helmet and each fit very differently. One was clearly for round heads, another for narrower and the third I can't remember.
  24. I have to say I'd never buy a helmet online. Helmets to me are like diving masks, you have to try them on to make sure they fit. So I guess if you can go and try on a helmet at your local shop and then buy it online that's ok but otherwise I'd rather go to the local guy.
